The Bellhop Ghost appears in Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Realistic Versions). They resemble hotel bellboys and their primary attack is possessing luggage and whirling it toward the player (rookie). For strategy on defeating them, go to Welcome to the Hotel Sedgewick Level (realistic version) article.

For direct confrontations with this paranormal entity, the following levels (at mission select) contain Bellhop Ghosts:

  • Rough Decent (x2)
  • The Bellhops Are Restless (x3)

History[]

The Ghostbusters encounter the Bellhop Ghosts during their attempt to capture Slimer, who had been overwhelmed by Shandor's energy and escaped. After capturing most of them, Slimer and the remaining Bellhop Ghosts get away. After Peter Venkman and the Rookie succeed in recapturing Slimer, they reunite with the other Ghostbusters to capture the remaining Bellhop Ghosts. When Ray asks how there are still ghosts haunting the Sedgewick Hotel when they gave the hotel a clean bill of health, Egon remarks that "New people die every day", which may infer that the Bellhop Ghosts were the ghosts of deceased Sedgewick employees. In the Stylized version, they are replaced by the Sous Chef Ghosts.

Notes[]

While all grand hotels have their dark secrets, the elegant Sedgewick Hotel has the others trumped. Ever since it opened in 1897, the Sedgewick has exuded an eerie atmosphere. An inordinate number of guests and staff have met untimely ends due to strange accidents and sometimes foul play. Most of them stay forever, drawn to an inexorable force that traps them in the Sedgewick's many corridors, suites, ballrooms, and service area.

The spectral staff takes great care of the hotel, and they don't appreciate disturbances other than the ones they create themselves.

Contact Protocol[]

Bellhop Ghosts are extremely low threat entities if you can dodge their projectile attacks and sidestep their close-quarters melee attacks. Though you will encounter these specters in small groups—a result of their competing for tips while alive—you can survive any encounter with the poltergeist porters as long as you stick with one and leave the others to your partners. Whittle down the ghost's PK energy with your Proton Stream, then trap them as you would any other ghost. A basic ghost requires a basic approach.

Manifestation Point[]

  • Hotel Sedgewick (first visit)

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime[]

Bellhop Ghosts appear in Level 1: Training Day at the Sedgewick. They appear in small groups and toss projectiles at the junior team. The Proton Beam makes short work of them.

Description[]

The Bellhop Ghosts appear as hotel employees with a piece of flesh missing from their face and they wear a red bellhop uniform.
