Here's a question. Why didn't use the original storyline for the episode Knock Knock. I've read the original script for it. And I hate to say I enjoyed the original script than the final product. But I wished they stuck to the original script.
Like the part when the door first opened. There was more than just Grinning Fireballs coming out of it. and near the end where they appeared at the door. There wasn't a giant glowing ball creating the spirits but they were already there when the door open.
There are many other like when they entered the doorway. I can't remember what. Maybe you can tell me. But I want to know is why didn't they stick to the original script? Post comments below. Thank you.Read more >
Ok. Let's say the following fictional supernatural entities were encountered by the Ghostbusters. Based on the known classifications the team gives to supernatural entities, what would the following be most likely classified as:
1. The Dark Presence (Alan Wake)
3. Jason Voorhees
4. Freddy Krueger
5. Pinhead (Hellraiser series)
6. The Flying Dutchman Crew (Pirates of the Caribbean)
7. Force Spirit (Star Wars)
8. Nazi Zombies/Samantha Maxis (Call of Duty: Zombies storyline)
9. Monsters from the Silent Hill video game series
10. The Creeper (Jeepers Creepers)
11. Pennywise (Stephen King's IT)
Just want to get anyone's opinion.
EDIT: I decided to add an additional four to the list. I don't know if objects with supernatural powers have a class…

Over the course of 2 months, Ghostbusters Wiki has had a major reworking and updating of the "Extreme Ghostbusters" section.
Pretty much this was Mrmichaelt's baby the whole way. However, in addition I added some collages and updated the Extreme Ghostbusters credits article.
The Total number of added EGB related articles was 182, but noting that there was almost a complete overhaul of all EGB articles, that had been previously made also. The articles were mostly characters, locations, and items. All articles had screen caps as well, and while there is no clear number of images added, it must have been way over 2000. All this was done by Mrmichaelt.
There were 202 Collages/Edits were added as well as getting all 40 episodes of EGB credits type…

Oh, the yearly recap ... Fun Fun! This is the third year I've done one of these noting the following:
- Blog: New Year, Moving Forward We Must (Yoda) 2011
- Blog: My Year End Round up (Louis Tully Style!) 2010
So what all happened this year...
- Well the Real Ghostbusters section has been redone along with the Slimer!. This was a big undertaking mostly lead and done by Mrmichaelt. Currently about 3/4s of the Extreme Ghostbusters episodes have been expanded on as well.
- Collages have been done to 111 episodes of the 140 RGB episodes. All 33 Slimer! episodes also have been done.
- The IDW section has been maintained to a T by Mrmichaelt.
- Both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II have screen caps for all chapters (finished sometime early in the year).
- Ghostbusters …

I don't think I could be anymore excited today if I wanted too. The first part of this Blog will detail the release of ebook Making Ghostbusters, and the second part will really recap the "New Ghostbusters" Tease images by IDW.
I almost feel like I'm singing to the choir here, but today the book Making Ghostbusters was released on Spook Central. It started back in September when Mrmichaelt cut the binding on his book and started scanning the pages. He had got in touch with Paul Rudoff of Spook Central, which was looking forward to the book being added to the Ghostbusters PDF eBook Preservation Project. The book scans were handed off to me (Devilmanozzy) to clean. The project towards the end of October was looking to be released as a treat on…

It has been a very busy month for me, both working on Ghostbuster projects and other art things. I still have a project that is holding me over some, but to those that know about it, the count left is 15 til done. I am just taking my time since it is unknown when the project will be released.
Starting tonight I will be doing collages for Real Ghostbusters episodes. I wont promise a thing, but I'll give them a shot.
I want to thank Mrmichaelt for holding down the fort the last month. I wish I had been more in the game last month, but all these outside projects and life got in the way. I was stretched beyond my means.

This blog is to map out a timeline for merchandises street releases in the 80's and 90's. This blog is a sister to blog "First Air Dates are Wrong" which was about air dates for The Real Ghostbusters and Slimer.
Unlike the air date blog, there never was a strong reference point to work from. Currently, thanks to efforts by google and other archive projects we can now start to piece together and timeline. That being said, one must realize that there will never be a perfect listing. Even the newspaper articles that claim the toys "NEW" may infact mean within the last few weeks.
I am going to go ahead and include the Kenner toys, guessing the year of release. Due to the nature of this proje…

I didn't know what to write for my first blog post, so I thought I'd post a sneak preview of the "Ghostbusters 'n' Wrestling Connection" article I'm writing for Spook Central. The article will be posted when the next update to Wrestlecrap.com is made, which should be on Friday September 28th. That's assuming the article I wrote for Wrestlecrap is posted in that update, as I wrote this one to tie into that one. I have a link to Spook Central in the Wrestlecrap article I wrote, and assuming that it's left in, I figure people from that site might come to mine, and it would be nice if I "greeted" them with something wrestling-related.
Here's an excerpt from the article (minus the spiffy formatting)...

This to me is a fair change. Every 2 years there is always a skin change. Like clockwork. However, this means that some pretty clear changes in design will happen, and we might as well do a new design.
I motion that the new skin should return to a more simple color palette of straight red, black and white. Logo needs to be more simple I feel like the original. Last thing, I'd to actually feature a screen cap on the right and left based on the movies. Thoughts? Share them. I don't got much time to come up with something here.Read more >
Okay, so I've been reading the Ghostbusters comic books for a while and I already know that the creators used a new character who looks exactly like Kylie Griffin and has the same name, a reference to the Extreme Ghostbusters show (very excited about that!). And then I thought that was it, I thought that was the only Extreme Ghostbusters reference in the comic series. Until I read the new 8th comic...Janine's new date looks exactly like Egon from the Extreme Ghostbusters series! EEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPP!!!!!! (in a good way).Read more >

Yeah, not that this will bring in the masses in droves, but it helps a bit. Anyways, keeping a extra close eye on the wiki's edits the next week or so.
Where do we begin... First off, Thanks to Mrmichaelt we have now covered all 33 episodes and pretty much any elements to do with them. It has been a amazing ride through the 33 episodes/shorts. Many awesome articles were either updated or built during these 3 weeks.
So what reflections do I have for the series?! Well.. I remember the show in 1988/1989 being a drag at the time as pretty much I'd rather had seen more Real Ghostbusters episodes, but that being said I did love many of the Professor Dweeb episodes. He was funny and seeing him in his original element did help me like him more. He was the wannabe Ghostbuster, and when he called the Ghostbusters in episode Sweet Revenge "Ghost bunglers" it was clear they had in a way also connected…Read more >

There is nothing that could please me more than when Wikia actually makes a feature or updates a feature that actually could be useful. Here comes the forum feature!
It has been no secret that I really wanted a forum feature for Ghostbusters wiki (and Thundercats wiki too) for ages. I was hoping for a feature that allowed topics and input without wiki know-how. I wanted it easy for non-wiki editors to be able to talk with use as well as us wiki editors.

Well lets see. The Upload multiple photos tool is down and its being replaced by the tool called "Special:UploadWizard" (It doesn't work yet). As for the general, MediaWiki Upgrades are done usually ever year or two. I feel this was very badly planned and the fact they changed it over the day before the 4th of July is mind numbing. Yes, the tables are different too, and the google maps feature is out as well. Thes…Read more >
This Blog is about licenses involving images. All images that are uploaded to a wiki "should" have a license attributed to them. Recent events with wikia suggest we may want to deal with this. Wikia helper bots were introduced two month ago that auto delete images for copyright violations. The contributors are expected to be selecting the license for each image.
So the next issue is, what that means to you. What that means is everyone will be expected to use the Licensing pull down on the Multiple Image Uploader and when adding one image, click "More options" and then click Licensing. There are 8 different license tags, tho only one really should be used all that much. Fair use is the one to use. Pick it and you should be good to go.

Here's some curious questions. Even if Ray did say he was a god do you think Gozer would believe him? Most likey she would ask him to prove it. Do think they might been able to convince Gozer not to destroy the world? Or would she just blast them anyway?
Another thing were was Gozer's voice coming from when they thought they defeated her? Did she turn into that glowing cloud?
When Gozer was resurrected in The Ghostbusters the Video Game how she didn't appear in her female form? Since technically that's the form she chosen when she first entered our world it.

4 days ago Wardialer7218 (ThunderCats Wiki) wrote about this issue on my talk page there. I wasn't sure what the issue was then, but after seeing it get much worse last night, I took a little surf over to Community Central Wikia to see if anyone was talking about this.
In the Technical Update Blog for April 10, 2012; Dopp speaks of this briefly in the "Select Known Issues" section of the blog.

And one additional note: Due to our Annual Engineering All-Hands, there will be no release or technical update next week.

It is that time of year, and the following need our eyes:

- Cleaning up images that are not being used. I list them in slider below. Some are somewhat in a catch 22 as if I delete them I effect blogs and such. Some were deleted from the article they were from, but the image wasn't deleted itself. I say at this point, we need to talk over and decide if deleting the images is a good or bad thing. I am going to number them in the slideshow to make them easy to talk about in comments. I included them cause they have merit or I simply have no clue what they we…

Wow, a lot was added to this project tonight by Paul Rudoff. Also, Richard Roy has started uploading NOW Comics. Here is what was added on Spook Central:
- Ghostbusters: The Return (PDF scanned ebook and Text ebook)

- Ghostbusters II Junior novel by B.B. Hiller
- Ghostbusters II Coloring Book (this was a good laugh and meme-able)
- Biltmore Hotel brochure PDF ebook (Think Sedgewick Hotel)

I have been getting a weird ad issue the last week on mostly the front page of the wiki, where it starts loading the page, then all the sudden I get taken to "Xvid Codec" download page.
I believe it has to do with those video ads and allowing them to store information on my computer. I currently have it so no site can plant information on my computer without my approval.
I have reported it to Wikia and they say they are concerned as well. You and I can debate if that ain't just BS, but they want to wear the concerned mask.
I need to know the following:
- Are you having this issue?
- What Browser you use?
There seems to either be a problem with people being aware of this policy or they are ignoring it and editing anyways.
Here is the deal, the Spoiler policy says the following:
The Rule for comics is only give out the synopsis when in the first 4 months after it has been released. This also means no adding content on other articles that may reveal information that ruins the contents ending.
I feel the policy is quite clear. I have went ahead and added a reminder on the policy on the front page to read, but the policy will be strictly enforced.
The policy includes Characters, Locations, Weapons, and anything else in the comics. Do not add categories, links, or any information suggesting that the subject is in the comics til four months after its…

I am debating when the time will be right to turn on the feature. It will replace the "User" talk pages and the old user talk pages will be locked, but viewable.
Feelings on this feature are mixed at best. Let me break it down:
- Now you can follow one conversation at a time.
- No more copy and pasting conversations onto the other users wall.
- It becomes easier to read the wall than the talk pages.
- (Unless this was changed) when it is first turned on, you will be signed up to every wall you liked as a talk page. That will make you have to unwatch every message wall.
- The reminders keep coming unlike the talk page.
- While it can use wiki markup, it is messy unlike the Talk pages.
I have not liked the feature as a whole and think wikia could spend its time…

I have been updating and fixing up the Agenda Policy, which I hope will be seen as minor.
The only added content is we will also restrict theft and piracy. While this should be common sense, I think having them listed will be a good reinforcement to what is already accepted here. I have also tried to make the language of the words easier to follow.

Well my Laptop's fan either needs to be cleaned or replaced. I had a scare earlier today when my laptop made a noise similar to a lawn mower (and it was loud and mechanical, not electrical). I have researched the symptoms and am pretty sure it was something to do with the fan. If it had been my hard drive, I doubt I would have been able to shut down and reboot a hour later without seeing error messages. The Brand is roughly as taken from Wikipedia: "Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers."
Now I am aware of the issues this faces being a open format like a wiki and all. One important thing I had to do to get the wiki's brand off the ground was a vote to agree to the design of this site which is basically the brand itself.
A day ago Ghostbusters Mania (Fan Site) was working on a logo collection and I noticed "once again" we were being left out. Come to find out after a exchange that really they didn't know our brand. The first question "How often do you visit Ghostbusters Wikia?" seemed to set the tone for the answers. It is pretty clear four people from 2 days to everyday were. But that leaves eleven that will filled out by those that don't edit at this wiki much.
The second question "How do you rate Ghostbusters Wikia's content?" sets the tone for what people overall think of the content. Most answered "great" or "good" which suggests people approve of the wiki overall. Only one slight negative with a "OK". Pr…

It has been an exciting year at Ghostbusters Wiki. But not as active as we hoped. So lets lay out the good and the bad for 2011....

- The Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime section of the site has came a far way, and is maybe the best on the whole internet. (Once again thanks to Mrmichaelt)
- We have started to branch out to Foreign Markets and we are "starting" to see results to it. (One of my projects)
- Still need a stronger focus on the film section.
- The front page is still too confusing to navigate through. We may need a new plan.

Now the graph is only me guessing the events over the last 30 years. I think it is time Sony did something with a bit more "uff" to get the brand going again. I'm sure I'd piss off people in the forums with the idea, but a new animated series (sub-recanon) would atleast be useful. Less and less people know about ghostbusters these days, and the generation grow up now is totally in the dark. A video game is hardly going to do it, if you ask me. Sony has planned a MIB 3 to be done soon, and a gb3 or animated series is needed to relaunch the brand. No way around it. GB2 happened in 1989, do the math, add 5 years for age to watch it. How many years ago plus those 5 years was it?
- =27 years!

- Wikia wants us to expand this wiki to new heights.
- From previous private conversations, I'm aware that I'm the only administrator willing to even work on the idea.
So I guess I should throw down what little I have in regards to this matter.
