Dr. Perkins is a doctor employed by a New York hospital.
After the Ghostbusters and Slimer gave some young patients a demonstration, Dr. Perkins informed them the hospital needed $50,000 by the end of the week or staff would be reduced and some of the children sent home, even if they needed medical care. Marty Tillis offered to pay the Ghostbusters $50,000 in exchange for using the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man for a commercial. He invited Perkins and the children to the set of the commercial. After Stay Puft, Slimer, and the Ghostbusters trapped the Phantom, Marty Tillis wrote out the $50,000 check and handed it to Perkins.
