EBS Broadcasting is a radio broadcast station famous for the "War of the Worlds" adaptation broadcast in 1938.
On October 30, 1938, Anson Bell directed and narrated the broadcast of the adaptation of the "War of the Worlds" novel. Listeners believed Elmo's Hill, New Jersey was really believed by Martians. The transmission was intercepted by a Martian scouting crew near the Moon. They believed it was an invasion they were not informed of. Some time later, the broadcast fueled a young Ray Stantz' passion for aliens. Every Halloween, the Stantz family played the radio drama. Ray would imagine aliens really landed.
