Not to be confused with the Arc de Triomphe/Animated from The Real Ghostbusters

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It honors those who died in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars and was commissioned in 1806 by Emperor Napoleon. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier beneath the Arc de Triomphe was interred on Armistice Day on November 11, 1920. An eternal flame burns in memory of the dead never identified in both World Wars. It bears the inscription, "Ici repose unsoldat Francais mort pur la patrie 1914-1918" or "Here lies a French soldier who died for the fatherland 1914-1918".

History[]

While in Paris taking care of a case for Erland Vinter, the Ghostbusters battled two Unknown Soldier Ghosts since the morning. Ray Stantz shoved a civilian out of the way just as one of the ghosts threw his paid off car at them. A group of locals and tourists congregated around Ray while Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore finally wrangled the entities, who had transmogrified. With Ray distracted, Peter tried to grab one of his Traps but the ghosts broke free and flew towards Ray. They attempted to steal Ray's Trap, which was holding the powerful Poveglian Artifact. As the second surfaced from the ground, Peter threw out a Trap and captured them both but Ray might have looked in it. The police approached them. Lieutenant Philip Constantin stated they were made aware of the Ghostbusters' presence in the city but they were not permitted to operate outside of pre-approved areas, including at the Arc. The police confiscated their equipment and asked them to accompany them to a police station to figure things out.
