The Barometric Analyzer is a device used to detect for barometric pressure.

History[]

When the Central Park Twister manifested in Central Park, Egon believed it wasn't a tornado based on variables such as humidity, barometric pressure, and the influence of the jet stream.[1] He and the other Ghostbusters set out to find out what the tornado really was. Egon activated the Barometric Analyzer when he got dangerously close to it and confirmed it had no barometric pressure differential.

In 1997, Egon became intrigued when P.K.E. readings were picked up from the weather patterns outside. He took the Barometric Analyzer up to the roof and took several readings. It helped confirm there was a correlation between a surge in P.K.E. and the erratic barometic pressure.

Trivia[]

  • On the Subscription Cover of Ghostbusters Volume 2 Issue #1, the Barometic Analyzer makes a non-canon cameo on the top shelf, on the left, on top of a stack below Janosz Poha and Lou Kamaka's photos.
  • The Analyzer makes another cameo on page 20 of Ghostbusters Volume 2 Issue #1 on the same shelf in Peter's office.
