Battery Park [1] is a 25 acre public park located in southern Manhattan. It is named after artillery batteries positioned there in the early days of the New York settlement.

History[]

Primary Canon[]

The Bog Hound passed through Battery Park upon its arrival in New York and scared a pair of men feeding birds. Marty Tillis used Battery Park as the site for "the greatest TV commercial" ever made, one that featured the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. [2] As the Ghostbusters extracted Stay Puft, Tillis supervised construction of the set at Battery Park. However, an even greater feat was yet to come. Everyone present witnessed Stay Puft, Slimer, and the Ghostbusters battle the Phantom.

In 1997, the Extreme Ghostbusters positioned themselves in Battery Park to cut off the Harasvelg and get in a clear shot at it. They only managed to weaken it as the precipitation it created diffused the Proton Streams. The Harasvelg fled from the area and blanketed it in snow. A demonized bus entered Battery Park from the north and went on a rampage. It destroyed the statue of John Ericsson. The Ghostbusters attacked it but were smoked out then assaulted by a possessed airplane.
