Bay Ridge [1] is a mostly middle class neighborhood in southwest Brooklyn.
History[]
A female manifestation terrorized the mother of Evan Torres at an apartment in Bay Ridge. He asked his friend Cait Banner to ask her aunt, Janine Melnitz to bump his family up through the waiting list. Janine wouldn't make an exception because autumn was a busy time of the year for the Ghostbusters. Cait and Zoe Zawadzki stole a P.K.E. Meter and Trap from the inventory and returned to Bay Ridge to meet up with Evan. Zoe made an arrangement to help capture the ghost in exchange for unlimited use of Evan's motorcycle for a month despite his immediate objection. After twenty minutes, they went down to the basement and encountered the ghost. Worst yet, the Trap wouldn't work. The ghost reappeared behind Evan. He panicked and punched its head. The trio ran outside. Cait noticed a loose wire and rectified the issue. The ghost suddenly rose up from the sidewalk but Cait trapped. As they plotted how to sneak the Trap back to the Firehouse, they were interrupted by Peter Venkman and Ray Stantz, who were observing them the whole time. Ray admitted he was impressed they captured a ghost without a Proton Pack and offered to teach them how to be proper Ghostbusters. Peter added only after seeing how they handle a life-and-death situation apologizing to Janine.
