Primary Canon[]

Bridget Gibbons is a New Yorker of Asian-American[2] descent who became a member of the Ghostbusters' junior team after she answered a magazine advertisement.[3]

Kas Gibbons is the mother of Bridget and a friend of Tiyah Clarke.[4]

In Dimension 50-S, Bridget also had a mother who claimed to regularly receive psychic impressions. She claimed they came from a long line of psychics.[5] Bridget had almost no interest in the paranormal before she applied for a job with the Ghostbusters on a whim. Her uncanny gut instinct proved valuable in the field against the supernatural.[6] Hanging out with Peter got Bridget interested in the field of Psychology to which he encouraged. As a result, Bridget worked towards earning an Associate of the Arts degree.[7] During Proteus' multidimensional search for the Ghostbusters of Dimension 68-R, Bridget found herself in an awkward situation. The Cerberus Manifestation, Proteus' creation, smelled her as she was stuck lying on her pack. She yelled at the others to hurry up and shoot it. Ananke froze time and gave the manifestation a fresh scent. It jumped through a portal. Time was restored and both were gone. Bridget stood and declared she was invincible. Bridget helped trap all of Connla's Army on Liberty Island in the prime dimension weeks away from Halloween. Egon Spengler, of the prime dimension, asked the Ghostbusters junior team for their help in retrieving ghosts that escaped from the Containment Unit and escaped into the multiverse. All of the teams involved in the operation gathered in the Warehouse.

Gabriel spoke up and Samuel asked why they didn't just use the Interspatial Teleportation Unit to go back in time and prevent the incident from happening. Gabriel agreed with Samuel but noted time travel backfired for the Flash. Alan was clueless. Bridget told him it was a TV show for nerds. Samuel asked rhetorically if it was just a show. The prime dimension's Egon reiterated the teleportation unit could not time travel but time was a dimension they could access in so far as they went to parallel realities that could be further ahead or further behind what they knew as the present but no action they took had an effect on their timeline.

A field team consisting of Peter Venkman, Special Agent Melanie Ortiz, Bridget Gibbons of Dimension 50-S, Jillian Holtzmann of Dimension 80-C, Roland Jackson of Dimension 68-E, and Egon Spengler of Dimension 68-R arrived in a Comic Strip Dimension. Holtzmann panicked about the teams being shuffled around. Egon 68-R pointed out there were no ill effects physically but admitted the shuffle was something to be concerned about. He and Roland checked their meters. Peter sent a message back to the prime dimension to inform the team there of what happened. Bridget pointed out it looked like they were in a comic strip and wondered if they could disrupt the space-time continuum or if the denizens thought they were aliens. Egon 68-R speculated they would just be considered weirdos. Roland picked up a trace of a Class 7 on his P.K.E. Meter. Egon 68-R concurred. Melanie reminded them they weren't after a Class 7 and they didn't have the firepower to fight one. Egon 68-R decided to err on the side of caution and made a note of the signature for further monitoring. Holtzmann grabbed Bridget and declared she came around to being careful. Roland eventually locked onto the right signal and announced the ghost was close by. Bridget asked why they didn't just trap the Class 7 and fill up the Containment Unit but Egon 68-R informed her their unit couldn't hold a Class 7 entity and it would take more than six Trap-Gates to capture one. Roland picked up a spike and ran off with Bridget. They stopped outside of typical looking suburban home. Peter recognized the interior as the manifestation of Wander Hills Orphanage and realized they were after Ellen Gold.

Bridget thought the name of the orphanage itself was creepy and asked Peter what else he could tell them about it. Peter only remembered he still hated time warp hauntings. The Wander Hills Children briefly appeared during a thunder flash. Peter remembered he hated that part, too. Ellen Gold appeared and called out Holtzmann for being the naughtiest among them. Holtzmann was freaked out and blasted at Ellen with Proton Pistols. Ellen dodged and started throwing children around. Two wrapped around Holtzmann and immobilized her but the pistol kept firing wildly. Bridget ducked and yelled at her to stop shooting so she could get close enough to use a Trap-Gate. Ellen grabbed Holtzmann and thought about punishing her. Melanie couldn't get a clear shot and called out for options. Bridget asked if it was a "needs of the many" situation and Roland got too literal, explaining they couldn't map the consciousness like in "Wrath of Khan". Bridget called him a nerd. Egon 68-R came up with a strategy. Since Ellen conjured the orphanage, it shared her P.K.E. signature. There was a possibility they could disorient Ellen by blasting the orphanage at the right frequency and proper power setting. Egon 68-R modified his thrower for the right combination and soon, the others started blasting the orphanage.

After Peter trapped Ellen Gold, Wander Hills dissipated and the Ghostbusters found themselves in an empty lot. Bridget tried to sense for the bad vibes but declared they were all gone. Roland checked his P.K.E. Meter and confirmed the area was totally clean then declared he knew their technology was up to task. Bridget disagreed and pointed out Peter talked rings around Ellen. Roland argued it was ultimately the Trap-Gate that ended things. Melanie broke up the squabble and reminded them they were on the same team. Peter agreed. The field teams were whisked away by Tiamat to the Collectors' Limbo. Rather than serve her, they fought back. Gabriel took readings and ascertained she was powerful and he suspected she was evil. Bridget thought that was already obvious. She could feel the bad vibes for days. Bridget was one of seven to open the last of the functioning Trap-Gates, set on random. Tiamat was stripped of her P.K.E and trapped.

Upon returning to their home dimension, the team requested time off. Peter was aghast. Alan explained they just got through chasing ghosts in other dimensions, fighting Tiamat in the Collectors' Limbo, and saving the multiverse. Samuel added they met so many Ghostbusters. Peter wasn't impressed and reminded them his team also saved the multiverse before. Ray added they did so at least a dozen times. Peter recalled they also got paid for it each time. Janine interceded and announced there was a call about a haunted house that appeared out of nowhere in Bayside, Queens. Peter assigned the case to the SOS team. Gabriel registered high readings off the house with his P.K.E. Meter and Bridget got seriously bad vibes that made her spine shiver. Samuel didn't put much stock in it. Bridget reminded him it was because he had no common sense. Alan charged the door. An old woman asked what they were doing, but they quickly forced her hand and she revealed she was Wat then attacked them with lightning blasts. She raised them up towards the ceiling. Gabriel reached for his Pocket-Sized Grenade and tossed it at Wat. Wat was dazed and presented an opening. Samuel threw out a Trap and thought he trapped Wat. However, Wat hid itself on Alan's flight suit. Bridget wondered why the house was still standing. It suddenly vanished and she rescinded her query. After researching Wat for an hour at the New York City Public Library, Bridget admitted it was easier before Dr. Griffin moved to Minneapolis. She realized she found an entry on Wat. Samuel chided her for taking so long. Bridget retorted it would have went faster if he wasn't just looking at the pictures then read the passage aloud. Alan made the connection. They were driven back to the Firehouse by Geoff.

They returned to the Firehouse. Bridget yelled, "Let's do some laundry, boys!" and was immediately called on it. She claimed it was the right time for bad action movie lines. They fired on Wat but it transformed into its true form then chased after them. Alan asked Gabriel and Egon with tapping into a utility box for the extra power while everyone else tried to distract Wat. Samuel and Bridget quibbled about Wat's classification. They jumped away from the path of a car Wat threw at them. They watched as Wat ate Alan. Alan blew Wat's head off and ran to Egon and Gabriel. Egon gave Gabriel the signal and he trapped Wat. Bridget looked in the Trap and was off put by how bright it was. They celebrated the win but the ordeal triggered a city-wide black out.

Alan and Bridget took a case on Staten Island. An hour after they were supposed to be off-shift, they searched the Calvin Home with their Ecto Goggles on. While Bridget emphasized time and a half, Alan sighted the eyes of the entity but was unaware it was a Sandman. He was attacked and placed in a dream-like state where he was confronted by Vigo. Bridget retreated and called in Samuel and Gabriel. They trapped the Sandman then Alan regained consciousness soon after. Bridget told him he wasn't getting a cut of the payment since he slept through the bust.

Personality[]

"The tough chick with a fierce determination and a penchant for wisecracks at other's expense. Like Alan, she has no paranormal training, but she is a natural Ghostbuster, always at the forefront of the battles. At times sparks can fly between her and the rest of the team, but the jokes end when there's work to be done." [8]
