The Central Park Twister [1] is a manifestation of P.K.E. leakage that resembles a whirlwind and acts as a gateway to another dimension. [2] [3]
History[]
The Central Park Twister manifested in Central Park prompting an evacuation. The Ghostbusters investigated and Egon Spengler determined it had no barometric pressure differential. [4] [5] Instead, it registered a P.K.E. leakage on the P.K.E. Meter. As a unique and rare manifestation, Egon got closer to take more readings but was sucked in. [6] Ray Stantz and Peter Venkman tried to save him but were taken in as well. They were teleported to another dimension and landed in a city called Boo York.
Winston Zeddemore deduced the Peoplebusters' Containment Unit was the doorway back to Earth. Egon agreed as it contained the exact form of energy found in the twister. [7] The Ghostbusters discovered other people taken to Boo York by the twister. They fired their Proton Streams simultaneously to unlock it. The theory was put to the test and they returned to their proper universe.
