Chief Inspector Ogata[2][3] is a high ranking officer in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

History[]

Chief Inspector Ogata was assigned to debrief the Ghostbusters on the seaweed monster, Nori-ra. While on the way to meet with Ogata's staff and study intelligence gathered, Ogata received word on his Mini-Phone wristwatch that Nori-ra was sighted again. He agreed to dispatch the Ghostbusters but first provided them with transportation, Ecto-Ichi, and communication, a Mini-Phone watch. After Nori-ra, Kani, and Lizardo were defeated, Ogata escorted the Ghostbusters to their departure flight and thanked them for their help.

Trivia[]

  • In the second draft of "Attack of the B-Movie Monsters," Ogata made another appearance to call Egon on the Mini-Phone and alert him of Lizardo's appearance in Tokyo Bay.[4][5]
