Coney Island is a beach/peninsula located on the southern tip of Brooklyn. It is mostly known as the site for amusement parks.

History

The Cult of Cathulhu selected Coney Island as the most favorable location to summon Cathulhu under the required alignment of stars. The Ghostbusters utilized Astroland's Cyclone roller coaster to attract a lightning bolt and destroy Cathulhu.

At some point, a Fun House section of Coney Island was infested with vampiric entities called Evil Clowns. While the "queen" remained on Coney, the others hunted across New York City. The Extreme Ghostbusters eventually captured the nest and thus, restored its victims to normal. They set out to locate the victims on the island.

Trivia

• In "Venkman's Ghost Repellers," while inside the New Jersey Parallelogram, Peter Venkman joked the way to the dome reminded him of rides he used to hate at Coney Island.
