Cubby[2] is a man who has alektorophobia (a fear of chickens, which he hates) because he was driven insane by the constant presence of chickens in his everyday life.
History[]
Rather ironically, he looks like a chicken himself! A woman also tells him that he smells like a chicken. He attempted to permanently rid his life of chickens by summoning the demon Morganon. At first wanting him to simply rid the world of chickens, Cubby accepted the power to make things vanish, as this would enable him to get rid of the chickens himself. The Ghostbusters were hired by Morganon to get the chickens back. They did this by tricking Cubby into believing that the chickens were still around using realistic robots of them. Since he already got rid of the chickens, this caused Cubby to accidentally send them back. He was last seen in an insane asylum in a cell where Morganon gives him chicken to eat. Then he started to scream like crazy.
Trivia[]
- Cubby is referenced in What in Samhain Just Happened?! on page 10. A bust of Cubby from is seen. Interestingly enough, it is next to a statue of a chicken.
- On page 12 of Ghostbusters Issue #5, Cubby makes a non-canon cameo as a customer at Ray's Occult Books but later on in the story, there are newspaper clippings about missing chickens.
