Plot[]
Walter Peck was covered in marshmallow. The crowd looked up in joy and watched as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man's hat floated down. It landed near Ecto-1. The crowd cheered and clapped for the Ghostbusters.
Trivia[]
- This scene was an unscripted addition. An aluminum-reinforced sailor's hat - 18 feet in diameter - was attached to a giant crane and then lowered into the crowd. However, editorial pacing led to this scene being deleted.[1][2]
- The falling hat gag was later used at the end of Ghostbusters: The Video Game at the end of Panic in Times Square Level (realistic version) after Stay Puft is blown up again.
