The Daily News Building is a 476 foot Art Deco skyscraper between Second and Third Avenue in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan. It was originally owned by the Tribune Company and has housed the Daily News, United Press International, and WPIX Channel 11.

History[]

Months after the Tiamat incident, the Daily News Building was haunted by the Bug-Eye Ghost. The Ghostbusters were hired to capture it. After some difficulty, they trapped it in one of the building's offices.

  • In the Ghostbusters II August 5, 1988 draft, Ray Stantz shows Peter Venkman a Daily News article about the insect plague on the Upper East Side. [1]
  • In Issue #1, page 10, the desk is a nod to Clark Kent's. His glasses are on the desk.
    • The Daily News Building was a stand-in for the Daily Planet in the Superman movies starring Christopher Reeves
