Not to be Confused with Electromagnetic Pulse Emitter from The Real Ghostbusters
The Sub-etheric Multichannel Differential Analyzer[1][2] is a prototype developed by Egon Spengler before he knew what it would be used for.
History[]
While the Grundel corrupted a child named Alec Meredith, Egon invented a new device he called a Sub-etheric Multichannel Differential Analyzer. When asked, Egon himself had no idea what its function was. However, Egon was impressed with the zaps it could make. Unimpressed, Peter Venkman removed the plug. Egon didn't notice and thought the fault lay with the Analyzer. He set off to run more tests to see if the variable core or phase-lock interociter went out.[3][4]
Trivia[]
- On page two of Ghostbusters Issue #11, the Analyzer makes a non-canon cameo on one of the blankets.
- In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters Issue #4, the Electromagnetic Pulse Emitter was visually based on the Sub-etheric Multichannel Differential Analyzer.
