The Slime Laboratories were created by Ivo Shandor, and it remained active even after Shandor Island sank following the supposed last Shandor's death.

History[]

The Slime Laboratories were where the Cult of Gozer conducted experimentation into creating a strain of ectoplasm that could be utilized into empowering Gozer. They utilized rather sophisticated and advanced machinery to synthesize pink Mood Slime from the Black Slime and pump it directly into New York's sewer system.[1] There are several other strains present but it is not revealed what their functions are. The Rookie finds Winston Zeddemore, a Cursed Artifact known as Singing Slime on the lab floor, Egon Spengler, and Peter Venkman.
