Fox Hunt on Tiamat Island is a Cursed Artifact found in the Lost Island Rising level of Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Realistic Versions).

Description[]

A strange, transforming painting.

History[]

In c. 1910 Artist and Shandor devotee Vikram Veedam painted this fanciful scene after attending a prestigious foxhunt on Tiamat island.

Where to Find It[]

In the Field: On Shandor Island inside a hidden room at the end of the walkway, just past the Gozerian Mass. Bust through the planks of wood on the left to expose the doorway to the room.

At the Firehouse: High on the wall to the right on Ecto-1.

Secondary Canon History[]

The Fox Hunt eventually relocates to a unit, in the same apartment complex occupied by Dana Barrett, haunted by the Jail Jaw Ghost.

Trivia[]

  • From a distance, the painting depicts a group of high-class gentleman posing with rifles, with one of them holding up a dead fox. When it is approached, the sky changes to an animated, roiling storm, the fox is replaced with a bundle of severed human heads, and the rifles are seen to silently fire from time to time.
  • Tiamat refers to the Babylonian god of chaos who also appeared on The Real Ghostbusters episode "I Am the City". It is interesting to note the Cult held an event on an island named after their god's rival. It is unclear whether Tiamat Island is meant to be the setting of the Lost Island level (which is referred to as "Shandor Island" by Egon), where the painting is found, or a different one.
