The Sony 4K Camcorder is a camcorder used by Jillian Holtzmann and Abby Yates in the 2016 movie.
History[]
Primary Canon[]
The Sony 4K Camcorder was first seen in use during the Gertrude Aldridge encounter at the Aldridge Mansion Museum and then it was used again in the Electrocuted Ghost encounter at the Seward Street Subway Station. For the Aldridge case, Holtzmann operated the camcorder. After Abby tried unsuccessfully to open the basement door, Erin Gilbert tried to push the camcorder away from her but Holtzmann pointed it at her and asked where she got the world's tiniest bow tie from then what it was like to walk around in high heels all day. After they observed a blue glow coming from the basement, Abby took over with the camcorder and recorded Gertrude and Erin being ecto-projected on at 2:09 pm. They hurried outside and watched Gertrude fly away at 2:14 pm. They were exuberant. Abby posted the video on the Ghost News website and it was re-blogged on the Internet, eventually coming to Dean Harold Filmore's attention. Abby operated the camcorder for the Seward case after the Electrocuted Ghost was sighted. At 4:21 pm, Holtzmann handed the Proton Box's bulky particle thrower to Erin. At 4:23 pm, Abby recorded Holtzmann placing a collar around Erin's neck for grounding while she used the Proton Box on the Electrocuted Ghost and the encounter.

During the dimensional bleed incident, the Sony 4K Camcorder was used to record the interview of the Ghostbusters 101 team about their use of the Interspatial Teleportation Unit.
Trivia[]
- It seems to specifically be a Sony AX33 4K Camcorder, because the ax53 wasn't released when Ghostbusters 2016 was filmed. Also, in a picture of Jillian holding it, it reads 20.6 vaguely on it.
