Plot[]

Jack Hardemeyer stepped out of the Mayor's car first and went straight to the Ghostbusters. He ordered them to leave and stated the matter was under the city's jurisdiction. Mayor Lenny was informed by Peter that his girlfriend and her child was in the Manhattan Museum of Art with Count Dracula's first cousin then stated at midnight, he was going to come out and perform "amateur head transplants" on everyone. Jack suggested using dynamite then handing the baby to the Mayor for a photo op. Ray Stantz approached Lenny and told him something had to been done by midnight or New York would get sucked down to the 'tenth level of hell.' Jack flipped out.

Trivia[]

  • There is yet another take on this scene called "Jack Buys It" which also features Peter talking with Lenny and the demise of Jack in the wall of slime.
  • A brief part of the scene, when Ray tells the Mayor what's going to happen to New York, was reused for the theatrical trailer.
  • Peter refers to Vigo as "Count Dracula's first cousin." He also alludes to Dana Barrett and Oscar.
  • Ray's "tenth level of hell" line is reused in the movie by Mayor Lenny in Chapter 21: Tenth Level of Hell.
