The Helmet Ecto Goggles function much like the Ecto Goggles in that they detect the paranormal. They are used in conjunction with the operation of Ecto-2.

The Real Ghostbusters[]
The Helmet Ecto Goggles are Ecto Goggles built into helmets to allow head protection while using them. The scope of the Goggles' can be adjusted manually. They were used by Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler when they flew off in Ecto-2 during the Toy Ghost incident.

The Helmet Ecto Goggles function in a similar manner and accompany those who use the Ecto-Gyro. During the Megaspook event, Ray Stantz and Jenny Moran donned the helmets. Ray donned the helmet when he flew Ecto-4 over Ellis Island during an overlap with another dimension.
