Herald Square is an area formed by the intersection of Broadway, Sixth Avenue, and 34th Street in Manhattan. It is named after the New York Herald newspaper headquartered between West 34th and West 35th.

In the fall, the Megaspook appeared above Broadway. As part of a joint plan, Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore laid out Traps and the Megatrap in Herald Square at West 35th and Broadway. Peter trapped the Megaspook but it broke free in a new form. The Ghostbusters and Ghost Smashers blasted it to no avail. The sudden arrival of Death led to the Megaspook's demise.
