The Insect Trapper is a giant plant monster and one of Janna's lieutenants. He was the keeper of a piece of Stone Tablet (a red bead), which served as a key to Janna's realm. The monster resided inside Arthur's castle, effectively transforming the entire building into a garden. When Ghostbusters defeated it there, the plant demon returned to Janna's realm, where he later was captured.
Dialog[]
Dialog at the start of the encounter with Insect Trapper.
"You came at a good time. Just now I'm very hungry. I'll even eat Arthur that rat! Fee, fi, fo, fum. You can't really think of ruling us! He should have shut up and collected the tablets. Now, I'll have a pleasant dinner. The menu features the Ghostbusters. Let's Eat!"

Origin[]
It also bears more than a little resemblance to Audrey II, the villain from the musical "Little Shop of Horrors". Coincidentally enough, starred Ghostbusters own Rick Moranis in the 1986 film version as the unlikely hero Seymour Krelborn and featured Bill Murray as Arthur Denton, one of the patients of the sadistic dentist Orin Scrivello.
Trivia[]
