King Todd[1][2] is an Egyptian king who is famous for cursing his treasure.[3]

History[]

King Todd and his cursed treasure was on display in the mid-1940s in museum in New York City. The treasure was stolen by an infamous thief named Blackie. He concealed it underground near Company 93's firehouse, but he was soon transmogrified by the curse.[4][5]

In the mid-1980s, Blackie manifested. Blackie's nemesis Phillip Spade also manifested and eventually recruited help from the Ghostbusters. They stole the treasure and raced to the museum. If they returned the treasure to King Todd's exhibit, the curse would be lifted. The display was nowhere in sight but Egon Spengler deduced it would be archived downstairs in the basement. When Blackie caught up to them, Peter Venkman picked up the treasure chest himself and tossed it into King Todd's sarcophagus. Blacky reverted to normal and dispersed with Spade.[6]

Trivia[]

  • The picture of King Todd reminded Peter of a girl he once knew in high school.[7]
