The Slimic Net[1] (also known as Ecto Slimer Net)[2] was used to catch small ghosts. However, it was never shown actually doing that. It was shown being used with the main device of the Ghost Sniffer, most likely used as a type of temporary storage.
History[]
When Slimer became molecularily destabilized by the Plasmic Strainer, he was separated into tiny versions of himself that would replicate upon impact. The Ghostbusters attempted to recapture them with Slimic Nets but it only caused the Slimers to continue duplicating. Soon enough, the Slimers departed the Firehouse. They affixed Ghost Sniffer packs to the net but the streets were too slimed up for them to take effective action. They went to tell the Mayor about the problem at hand.
Trivia[]
- On page eight of Ghostbusters Issue #8, a Slimic Net makes a non-canon cameo standing upright next to Egon Spengler.
