The Spectral Dogs[1] are a type of ghost that resemble flying dogs.
History[]
The Spectral Dogs are servitors of a Makoveris Lotsabucks and are only summoned to dispatch interlopers. While Slimer spied on Janine Melnitz, the Makoveris noticed his presence. In an alleyway, it confronted Slimer and summoned three Spectral Dogs to destroy him. They gave chase all the way to the Firehouse. At 11:44 p.m., the Ghostbusters confined and trapped them. Peter Venkman played fetch with the last one to trap it. One of Egon Spengler's new records was an unfortunate sacrifice in the bust.
Powers[]
They can fly in the air, but act much like normal dogs, including barking and biting.
Trivia[]
- The name Spectral Dogs came from the storyboards provided on the The Real Ghostbusters Dvd Box Set as a bonus on Volume 4 Disc 5.
- The Makoveris Lotsabucks refers to them as "My Little Ones."
- All three make a cameo appearance in the "The Haunting of Heck House" and "Guess What's Coming to Dinner" episodes.
