Spookums[2] is a ghost in its infancy.
History[]
Spookums was a baby ghost who entered our world during a lunar eclipse and rare alignment of stars that opened a portal to her home.[3][4] The ghost arrived on the physical plane near Times Square and ended up on the engine of Ecto-1.[5] Her parents followed her in an attempt to get her back. The Ghostbusters found Spookums and decided to keep her until they could find her home. They believed that Spookums' parents were hostile Class 5 spirits that wanted to hurt her, until Slimer noticed how familiar the ghosts were after they trapped them.[6][7] They then successfully returned the family to their home before the portal closed completely.
Trivia[]
- Ray Stantz notes that until Spookums, the team never saw such a young ghost.
- The Ghostbusters agree to name it Spookums, Mrs. Spengler's nickname for Egon Spengler.[8]
