In Ghostbusters II the Deleted Scene: We'll Handle Everything Ray and Peter gets the Fire Captain to defer to them to deal with the situation at the Manhattan Museum of Art.

Ray Stantz suggested to the Fire Chief to give his crews a rest and the Ghostbusters would take over and handle everything. The chief quickly replied, "be my guest," and walked away. Peter and Ray exchanged looks of concern.

Trivia[]

  • In the November 27, 1988 draft and February 27, 1989 draft, on page 109, the Fire Captain defers to the Ghostbusters. He mentions he heard the Titanic just arrived. Peter jokes "better late than never" that the Dock Supervisor says in the movie. Egon monitors valences and tells everyone to go to full neutronas, maser assist.
  • The exterior of the Manhattan Museum of Art was filmed at the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House at 1 Bowling Green in New York City.
  • The Fire Captain was the Fire Commissioner in the first movie.
