The Diva is the world's greatest soprano. She was a target of Valkyries while in New York City.
History[]
During a performance of the "Ride of the Valkyries" at the Metropolitan Opera House, the Diva was attacked by several Valkyries. Luckily, Peter Venkman and Egon Spengler happened to be in the audience. Venkman saved the Diva from injury. When the Ghostbusters returned to trap the entities, Diva demanded a bodyguard and chose Venkman. It was also an attempt to make the conductor, Leopold jealous. She believed she succeeded at making him jealous but, in reality, Leopold was angry because he thought the Ghostbusters' presence threatened his 20 year perfect attendance record. At first she pretended to be fascinated by Venkman's vulgarity. Leopold refused to miss the performance and continued even though it was inevitable the Valkyries would return. He soon stormed off to the Diva's room and called her bluff, if Peter stayed he would quit. She chose Leopold and Peter was thrown out of her dressing room. Peter tried to act like she knew she wasn't interested in him but the Valkyries kidnapped him and Diva fainted. She recovered and performed to a standing ovation. Diva mistook the Proton Streams and shattered lighting as special effects and continued. Diva and Leopold bowed to the audience.
