Vanna[2][3] was the assistant of the Great Calamari.
History[]
Vanna played the role of a magician's assistant who wore a skimpy and sequined costume.[4] She assisted Calamari but during his show at the Magic Theater, she was caught in a wave of water after the ghost of Harry Houdini shattered a tank. Vanna landed in Peter Venkman's lap and he was smitten.
During the Ghostbusters' investigation, Vanna was uncooperative and stayed in her dressing room. However, Calamari hypnotized her and she sent Peter to another dimension by getting him to go into the Cabinet of Mystery. Calamari attempted to flee the theater with Vanna but was confronted by the Ghostbusters and Houdini. The guys took Vanna back the Firehouse and tried hypnosis, past life regression, a Ouija board, hunting dogs, and new wave music but failed. Peter then simply kissed her on the cheek and it worked. Vanna then revealed she was surprised because only a toad's kiss could break the spell.

- In the September 12, 1986 script, Peter originally kissed Vanna right after Calamari vanished into the Cabinet of Mystery. She reacted negatively to the kiss and slapped Peter.[5]
