The Funder's Cults of the Northeast[1] is a book about cults from the northeastern region of the United States of America.

History[]

The revised version of "Funder's Cults of the Northeast" cataloged information about the Cult of Gozer. According to Funder's, the Sedgewick Hotel played host to the cult up through 1938 or so and as an incentive to draw Gozer to their plane of existence, conjured a semi-corporeal manifestation of gluttony.[2] The author supposed they attempted to conjure a hungry spirit to wreck havoc on the American food supply and make the country an easy target during what would become World War II. Tobin agreed with the interpretation.[3] In the present, Ray read the passage to his new students Cait Banner, Evan Torres, and Zoe Zawadzki after they inquired about what Slimer was.
