Gaylord's Joke Shop [1] is a novelty store located in Queens.

HistoryEdit

Gaylord's Joke Shop was owned and operated by Gaylord, one of Ray Stantz' uncles. Gaylord built a secret museum underneath the shop dedicated to gags throughout history, Gaylord's Hall of Humor. [2] [3] The hall was also the repository of the Little Black Box, an item that imprisoned a pair of Imps. After Gaylord's passing, Ray inherited the joke shop. It turned out Gaylord willed it to Ray, because he thought his nephew had the worst sense of humor. [4]

Ray and Slimer accidentally released the Imps and discovered it too late. Eventually, Ray realized the Little Black Box was the key to trapping the Imps. While Ray and Slimer returned to the shop, the others led the Imps back to the shop where they were trapped. Aside from the shop being in shambles, Ray decided to sell it. [5]
