  • The Ghostbusters are sued by every state, city, and county for the Gozer Incident. They are served a judicial restraining order, preventing them from paranormal investigation and eliminations.
    • Ghostbusters II begins with "5 Years Later" but that is interpreted as "five years after the events of Ghostbusters" and in the courtroom scene, Peter Venkman says, "its been years since they used the packs." There is never a concrete mention of exactly when the Ghostbusters were served the order.

    • In Ghostbusters II, Dana Barrett states Oscar is eight months old when Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Peter Venkman first visit her. Calculated from the assumption Ghostbusters II takes place only in part of late November and December.
  • Late November/Early December: Psychomagnetheric Slime possesses Dana Barrett's baby carriage in an attempt to kidnap her son Oscar, indirectly putting the Ghostbusters back in business.
    • In Ghostbusters II, Dana's calendar is still on November 1989 when Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Peter Venkman first visit.
  • December 30th: Psychomagnetheric Slime possesses Dana Barrett's apartment bathtub and attempts to kidnap her son Oscar.
    • Calculated the day based on the build up to the final battle with Vigo and passage of time.
  • December 31st: A Psychomagnetheric Slime Mold forms around the Manhattan Museum of Art while approximately 3000 manifestations related to the Slime terrorizes New York.
    • In Ghostbusters II, the City and County of New York states they were swamped with 3000 cases.

  • February 14th: On a December episode of "World of the Psychic," Elaine predicts the end of the world on this date, according to her alleged encounter with an alien.
    • In Ghostbusters II, Elaine reveals this to show host, Peter Venkman. This is most likely not going to happen but Venkman's other guest, Milton Anglund, was technically correct with his guess.
