Laura Summer, is a voice actress.
In 2014, she wrote the forward for Ghostbusters Volume 8.
Laura Summer has an extensive background in both theatre, voice acting and television. Her earliest role was on The Facts of Life playing Emily, an Eastland School student, in the 1983 two part episode Graduation. She would appear one more time, reprising her character, in the same season's episode, Help from Home. From there, she continued to do parts in such shows as Night Court, She's Out of Control, and Grace Under Fire. She also had a small role in the 2001 movie, Shallow Hal.
Her first foray into voice work was playing Ghostbuster's secretary Janine Melnitz in the 1986 animated series, The Real Ghostbusters. It was her very first audition for a cartoon series. She would continue for another two seasons, until an ABC mandated retooling of the show saw her let go in favor of the softer-voiced Kath Soucie. They also let go Lorenzo Music and Arsenio Hall at the same time. From there, she continued her voice acting work, though mainly outside of animation. Within the animation industry, she was the voice for Mimi in Hello Kitty, Patamon in Digimon: Digital Monsters, and Princess Hightower in Flint: The Time Detective. She is currently recurring on The Garfield Show for the Cartoon Network 2009. Outside animation, she has done voices for Disney, including High School Musical, The Cheetah Girls and several other television shows.
