After Oscar was born, Dana hired Maria to help out around her apartment. Maria provided day care for Oscar when Dana was working or otherwise occupied. [1] In late 1989, Maria was present when Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz, and Peter Venkman came to investigate Oscar. Maria finished feeding Oscar and handed him to Dana. Maria stayed in the kitchen and washed some dishes.
