History[]
Ray met one when he went to Toad Island with his father as a child. When he goes back to Toad Island as an adult, he sees the mermaid he befriended, now much older and bedraggled, being tormented by a bunch of bullying punks. Ray managed to get rid of the jerks and told his friend that he hoped she wouldn't judge other humans by the actions the bullies did to her. In return the Mermaid expressed great admiration for the man Ray grew up to become.
