Monastery of Saint Theophilus [1] is a Greek Orthodox monastery perched on sheer cliffs of a towering mountain near a village in Greece. [2] [3]
History[]
After Saint Theophilus sealed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse within the Codex of Saint Theophilus, the Monastery of Saint Theophilus kept it under protection for 700 years. [4] During a raid on May 10, 1684, the Codex was lost from the monastery. As a precaution, the only way to get to the monastery was a makeshift lift. [5]
In the 1980s, Father Yanos returned to the monastery with the Ghostbusters. They needed the Seal of Saint Theophilus to reseal the Four Horsemen. [6] After the four spirits were trapped and sealed, life began to spontaneously emerge on the barren mountain. Flowers grew instantly and the doves returned.
