Mount Rushmore[1] is a granite mountain range near Keystone, South Dakota. It is famous for featuring sculptures of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln and is classified as a national monument.

History[]

During a brief feud between a Spectral Family and some of the Ghostbusters, the tipping point was when the ghosts possessed Mount Rushmore and sang. Since they couldn't shoot the monument, Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore shot lower and created a large dust plume to force the ghosts out.[2] A week later, Slimer and the Ghostbusters depart South Dakota to return to New York. They looked back and saw the monument was once again animated, and figured the ghosts were up to their old tricks. However, this time the four presidents said "Goodbye!" to the Ghostbusters, then the Spectrals departed for their home.
