The Ghostbusters and Spike get ready to go back to the prehistoric world and face Nurtog. It is revealed that the world is near the North Pole. Winston surmises that this means that the prehistoric world is responsible for reports of sea serpents and the Loch Ness Monster. Upon arrival, Spike is shocked to see his home destroyed and his people gone. Spike holds off Nurtog's troups while the Ghostbusters go fight Nurtog. As it so happens, Nurtog had been asleep all these eons with only his mental image surfacing. Peter manages to wake him up. Nurtog believed that he had a change at the Ghostbusters, but was wrong because his body weakened from eons of underuse. A cave-in then seemingly buries Nurtog alive and Spike chooses to find survivors of Nurtog's evil reign and the Ghostbusters offer to help Spike rebuild his civilization. The ending shows that while Nurtog is trapped in his fortress, he is alive and well and will return in a future issue.
