The Remote-Controlled Ecto-1 is a Cursed Artifact found in the Museum of (Super)natural History level of Ghostbusters: The Video Game

A remote-controlled Ecto-1 that twitches and whirs all on its own.

c.1987 Created as part of the merchandising flood that followed the Ghostbusters' initial success, this remote controlled Ecto-1 was a favorite among the fans. Judging from its occasional twitching and wheel spinning this particular car seems to have had a run-in with a low-level possessing sprite who has somewhere else to be.

Where to Find ItEdit

In the Field: While chasing the Chairman and coming to an end of the first set of pipeways, take a left and go straight down until you hear Ecto-1's car siren. The P.K.E. Meter will flash, use it to look down and track the signal.

At the Firehouse: It is on the Second floor, main room, on the table next to the answering machine.

While the in-game history describes this item as being made c.1987, the visual design appears to be that of the Ecto-1a (minus the LED signboards) which was not introduced until 1989. It should also be noted that the design is exactly the same as the Ecto-1 in the game, which takes place in 1991.
