Spiney[1] is one of a number of stock ghosts featured in Extreme Ghostbusters.
History[]
Spiney was one of Piper's emanations, used in his campaign as a paranormal eliminator. The Extreme Ghostbusters initially mistook the emanations as ghosts until learning their connection to Piper. When Piper was trapped, Spiney and other emanations seemingly dissipated when they were unable to reunite with him.
A pale purple ghost resembling Spiney was among the few dozen ghosts enslaved by Edward Kirilian as labor.[2] Another pale purple Spiney was caught in a cross-dimensional rift to the Netherworld. When Egon Spengler interfered with the portal's stability, the Spiney caught the gateway instantly returned to the Netherworld, followed soon afterward by the enslaved Spiney.
Description[]
Spiney is a purple limbless ghost with a human spine-like body and a skull with four eye sockets. In "Heart of Darkness", Spiney is a pale shade of purple.
