Why is it that this page uses the real-life address of the building 550 Central Park West? Extreme Ghostbusters is canon to the Animated and All canons, which both contain the original movie, Ghostbusters. In Ghostbusters, the sign labelling the building as '550' can be clearly seen in the background as a marshmallow-soaked Peter kisses Dana with the theme tune in the background. Is this a mistake or is there an explanation? PolishTheTortuga (talk) 21:21, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- The Animated canon doesn't count the two films directly, as it has a alternate take on the events, names and other attributes. "Take Two" makes it clear that the first film is "loosely" based on the canon, as it is not direct. They never explain the Gozer/Stay Puft thing, as Stay Puft is not Gozer in the animated canon. Long story short, unless the animated series(s) confirms it, it is not carried over canon. 550 was never confirmed the address for it in the EGB episode, infact it wasn't even confirmed to be the same building as the Gozer incident of 1984. Egon never spoke of the case in the episode in question, so the real life address was used instead. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 21:56, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Oh, I get it now. The page refers to it as '550' in The Real Ghostbusters History section. I'll change that now. PolishTheTortuga (talk) 22:26, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
