12/8/10: Overhaul[]

I overhauled the CDI System article first. I essentially restored the Classification section back to what is listed on the RPG's page.

I edited the Description section.

I edited the Identification section, as well, with information that was either supplied by the RPG or by the Prima Game Guide appendix for The Video Game: Realistic Version. I believe strongly that the Identification appendix holds to the established canon material supplied by the RPG. Anything else goes into the very gray territory such as the exposition of Identification in the animated series' but that should be delegated to the Animated Classification page, right?

As for the Classes' individual pages, when I list examples, where can I draw them from?

Create one list for each of the Movies and One for each version The Video Game?

Or is The Video Game going to be delegated to a new page such as Media Classification?

I am under the impression that they didn't get the classes themselves right and in some cases the description as well in Video Game. I'm almost at this point (since Ghostbusters to me as like yourself) centers around the CDI System to push for stronger measures. I am seeing that we're all on the same page here on the CDI System, so do what you will to fill in the issues to make it fit. A Media Classifications article is a great step that way for now. Make sure to include a link to Animated Classifications for now. We're need to debate if that needs to be part of Media Classifications or to stay separated. While it is true that a minority of the Realistic Version entity's classifications are flawed, the Stylized Version is another story. It got so much wrong, I wish it never existed. I think it's best to keep the Video Games, especially now that we know Sanctum of Slime is coming, separate from the Animated Series. The Animated Series functions well as its own set of continuity and CDI system. I believe adding in the Video Games will muddy the waters. So I think we should 3 separate categorizations: Classifications, Animated Classifications, and Media Classifications. Mrmichaelt 05:07, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
I like the idea. I never really put much thought even into the Stylized version as it had classes changing and everything else. It was a plain mess. I like the Realistic Version's attempt to do things right tho. As for the new game, at this point a may not even be considered canon story wise. I'm doubting that the game will even have a TSG in it. It will be much like the DS version, which didn't have a TSG. Heck, most of the names of the ghosts are guesses. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 05:19, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
