The Real Ghostbusters is a handheld video game released in 1988 by Remco. Somewhat rare and confused with Remco's The Real Ghostbusters - Trap the Ghosts game, the plain The Real Ghostbusters game features a background image of the firehouse instead of a street.
- Automatic point scoring plus bonus point system
- Two skill levels of game play
- Action game sounds

In the game, the player is Peter and you battle ghosts that are trying to land on bottom of screen in one of three spots. All the player needs to do is shoot them (shmup mechanically). The ghosts come down one at a time and can switch between the three spots with the two inbetweens. They move faster as the game progresses.
