The Tree Witch is a the violent spirit of a woman accused of being a witch.
History
In the 16th century, during the infamous witch hunts, the wife of a local farmer was accused of being a witch. This was due to her fondness for animals, which were associated as witch's familiars. She went through trial and was burned at the stake. As she burned to death, she expressed a violent wish to have revenge after her death. Her spirit manifested as an elemental witch. A local priest encased her inside a tree. In the 20th century, a young man cut down the tree on account it looked so evil. The Tree Witch was unleashed until the Ghostbusters captured her.
