The U.S. Online Company is a New York City-based Internet Service Provider who serves clients nationwide. [1]
History
On the evening of April 6th, 1997 (or very early morning April 7th), a Gremlin infiltrated the U.S. Online building and sabotaged equipment in a restricted area. As a result, an unspecified amount of customers lost Internet access including Garrett Miller. A security guard encountered the Gremlin and was assaulted. On April 7th, Nancy Morrison reported live from the building. The FBI suspected sabotage and assigned Agents Jack Stone and Harry Gannan to investigate. Five minutes after Nancy and her team left, the Extreme Ghostbusters arrived to investigate. They took readings and a sample of strange ectoplasmic lubricant just as Jack and Harry arrived to take over the case. They had Officer Al eject everyone from the building.
