...about pictures... Edit

My laptop right now is in the repair shop as the power supply is now disconnected inside my laptop. And pictures and such are on it, so I need time to get a new screencap of Tempus, and Vampire Clowns up. Devilmanozzy 15:46, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

I encourge you to.. Edit

You have very good knowledge on Extreme Ghostbusters and The Real Ghostbusters. I suggest you try out. Make sure to include link to your previous account here. Devilmanozzy 20:12, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Ghostbuters the Video GameEdit

Do you own a copy, if so what console is it for (Wii, PC, PS3, etc.)? --Liberal Noob 23:26, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I have the game on Xbox 360, PS2, and DS. BTW, do you know how to make it past the swarms of Candelabrum Crawlers in the first level before you reach Sargassi? SonofSamhainSonofSamhain 01:50, 15 July 2009 (UTC) July 15, 2009.
You are talking about the DS version right? If so I simply shot in every direction while I moved and ordered the others to follow me. It took me a few run throughs and the rest of the game is HARD! --Liberal Noob 23:42, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

I was talking about the Xbox 360 version, but I no longer need your help. I snuck up a small hill and blasted the rest of them. After that, I went to Sargassi's restaurant and busted him. Matter of fact, I managed to complete the entire game eventually. I am stuck on the Museum level in the PS2 and DS versions, but I'm sure I will find a way to pass them. I would also like to discuss an idea I have for Ghostbusters. In 1991, the rookie member was my character Soul Man. Unlike the rookie, Soul Man is more talkative and Peter lets him tell his name. He even stays with the Ghostbusters after Shandor is beaten. Soul Man was a man named Thomas B. Stone and was one of the Ghostbusters' best customers. During the events of Ghostbusters 2, he was killed by the mood slime and became a ghost. Unlike most ghosts formed from the mood slime, Soul Man was a good guy. However, he knew the Ghostrbusters would try to bust him so he hid until the events of Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Soul Man was absent in Extreme Ghostbusters because when the Ghostbusters went out of business, Egon sent him in the Containment Unit to keep an eye on the captured ghosts. He wasn't able to help Eduardo in Slimer's Sacrifice because he had his hands full with Samhain, the Bogeyman, and a Gozer-influenced Stay Puft. After the end of the series, Ray, Peter, and Winston realized the new team needed their help, so they stayed in New York to keep helping them with the new powerful entities in New York. It was then when they freed Soul Man from the Containment Unit and allowed him to rejoin the team. Soul Man resembles the ghost in the No-Ghost symbol except he is slimmer and has no nose. He does not wear the Ghostbusters' traditional uniform and instead wears an orange jacket (though it features the logo on the right sleeve and has a name tag like the traditional uniform). I also have this idea that shortly after Shandor's defeat, all the ghosts the Ghostbusters captured (including Stay Puft, Azetlor, The Chairman, Spiderwitch, the Sloar, and at least what is left of Shandor and Gozer) reappeared and merged into a single entity that was easy to trap since Shandor's Destructor form took a lot of energy from them and weakened them. After the Ghostbusters returned to the firehouse, repaired the Containment Unit, and sent the captured ghost into it, the entity separated back into individual ghosts. --SonofSamhain 7: 24 PM July 16, 2009 (UTC)

Congrats! You are now a Sysop! Edit

Yes and that means most of all, you can delete a page if its not up to spec. Please read the Mod Startup Kit page. Anyways, let me know if you have any questions, or if you want to start something new on the Wiki. Devilmanozzy 11:45, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

I copied the text to Ghostmakers Edit

Sometimes lately Wikia gets sort of disconnected I noticed. That may be the problem you were having. Devilmanozzy 20:34, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

The Ghostbusters Video Games Edit

Yeah I only left the games together because no one shown interest in the articles, and other than Ghostbusters(city screen type one) I have not played all that many of them. If you want to edit and make them happen, I don't mind. Ghostbusters Video Games. I'll get the pages started tonight when I get home from college. Devilmanozzy 01:44, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Legal B.S. .... Edit

Note, no one came to me or the wiki saying we're in trouble or anything, but just to play it safe.....
For now on when uploading any images please use the Licensing:Fairuse. Also, include at the bottom of any page/article with a image the new {{Copyright}} tag. This is something new to me as I'm no lawyer, but it seems to be a good way to sort of seal the deal on the legal side of things. Devilmanozzy 07:42, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Reply to "Help!" Edit

I don't hold it against anyone if they can't edit something. Now however, I'd like to know what problem your having, because likely others are having the same problem if its related to wikia. Devilmanozzy 02:00, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

If its the editor check this out on this page. You can turn off the Rich editor. Its glitching with some browsers and in so many words.... Sucks! Filmation_Ghostbusters_Wiki:FAQ Devilmanozzy 02:13, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

What Browser you currently using? Is it the connection in your local area? Devilmanozzy 03:01, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

I made the mistake of saying Mr.Slimeman did the article. I forgot to change the user name. Devilmanozzy 16:35, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Responding Edit

1, Why does this wiki no longer feature videos? I'm okay with it. I am just curious.
I was informed by Liberal Noob that a lot of times videos get taken down due to copyrights, and boldly posting a link on the wiki invites them to be taken down.
2, What do you think of my fan character Soul Man?
I haven't gotten to it due to being busy with school. I'll try to get to it in a week.
3, Will you or anyone you know and trust on this wiki help me with the [Madballs Wiki] I have trouble on and rarely attend?
I had a few as a kid and they were fun. I'll take a look at the wiki in detail, and set up some pages and build templates and such. First things first, your need a logo like the no ghost sign is here. If your not good with editing images and such, let me know and I'll build a logo. Devilmanozzy 07:30, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah I enjoy many 80's subject matters. I'm also was a big fan of Garbage pail kids, monsters in my pockets, silverhawks, and other such fiction.
Friendly warning about the troll running around bugging Madball Wiki. He was banned over here for flaming, deleteing and fighting. I suggest you block him too. But thats your call. Devilmanozzy 08:00, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah Sure Edit

Mr.Slimeman 05:11, 8 August 2009 (UTC) So sorry this is late, I've been running around doing some things I missed on vacation, but I finally saw your note about the credit thing... and yeah sure. It's cool just a mix up.

Class 8-11 Edit

If your in the mood, start those pages. Devilmanozzy 06:03, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Samhain Rocks Edit

Mr.Slimeman 17:18, 11 August 2009 (UTC) He sure does, he sure does. Sign him up for Ghostbusters 3.

Mr.Slimeman 06:11, 14 August 2009 (UTC) Well, it appears that we think on the same level, with Samhain being the main villain for Ghostbusters 3. I feel like comparing notes here. I did sorta intend for Samhain to die at the end of the movie, since it seems Vigo and Gozer (though I'm not sure if he was destroyed or repelled) were destroyed at the end. In all confessions, there were a number of things I did for realism. The Extreme Ghostbusters were cast as the heroes because in real life, Bill Murphy, Harald Ramisis and the others are getting old. It's time to move onto the next gen, which means Extreme Ghostbusters. Though at the same time, it wouldn't be right to simply run over the old Ghostbusters with the new one. So the movie should even itself out with the new team having the skills, the old team having the experience. Comparing the parts of Samhain escaping from the unit, the cartoon series runs on a different continuation then the movie. So in reality the Ghostbusters haven't encountered Samhain yet in the movies. Plus, those who come to see the movie will probably not know who Samhain is, so they would need a fresh start (this is a bit hypocritical on my side since I'm always saying new comers aren't welcome here). I do like the suggestion about the Boogieman and stuff. The way I was thinking, the Boogieman would be featured in a picture show during the end credits since fitting in so many ghosts (and seeing how unhuman the Boogieman looks) could be a fatal problem. Though I do think in a confessions, the Boogieman should have some like movie role.

But it's great to see we think on the sam level and that's my notes. Take Care

Reply to: New Routine Edit

Because I had questions the last time I decided to talk to you again after so long, I decided to ask more questions. 1, Why is your avatar now Prime Evil instead of Sandman?

Its a fan drawing I did of Prime Evil from Filmations Ghostbusters. Being the mod over there as well, I thought I'd do something fun with him. What......you don't like Prime Evil? lol Devilmanozzy

2, What do you think of my character Soul Man,

The soul man is a fun idea, and I like how it ties together The Real Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and Extreme Ghostbusters together so well. I'll have to wait and see the end result, but its a fun character idea. The icing being the reference to a show Dan Aykroyd did in the 90's. Devilmanozzy

3, What do you think of me as of now?

odd question, I guess I'm happy you are spending time on the fan section which was so being ignored as of late. Hey its not up to me to decide what you do, and likewise. Just do what you want to do, and I'll be happy. Devilmanozzy

I also have some thoughts. I am not counting on it, but I think that some day, there will be screen caps for every episode of RGB, Slimer!, and EGB.

It's a slow process to get screencaps done, and I have had setbacks and such, but plans are still underway for more screen caps. Yes Extreme Ghostbusters and Slimer! will be getting screen caps too. I was hoping things would get a bit easyer with mods other than me here. But mostly, i have discovered that it'd take 50 mods to do what I want to do. So in short things take time....and thats how it goes. Devilmanozzy

I am also concerned about the future of my work on this wiki.

Well wiki is a changing thing that never quits. I came here back in September of last year and started adding, much like you are doing. I made tons of mistakes and learned from them, as you will go through as well. Nothing happens over night and time and dedication are key. Some visit here once a month, some once every 2 weeks, some once a week, some every 3 days and me......every day. And all editors and edits are of value. Sometimes its better to think about a wiki as a team project. Except there is no leader. That is my thoughts. Devilmanozzy 14:05, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Quite a number of great ideas Edit

Mr.Slimeman 03:42, 17 August 2009 (UTC) Well, you (like me) really want to include other villains into the Ghostbusters' movie. The Sandman dream world and stuff are indeed some great ideas. And personally, I do think villains from the show should be incorporated. It looks as though only Gozer, Slimer, Mr.Staypuft, Zuul and Vince Clortho, and the library ghost really are acknowledged. However, I think villains (namely Samhain, the Boogieman, the Grundel, the Sandman, and perhaps Ghash) from the show, have played a role in the Ghostbuster history. However only fans of the show even know about them. I say, put them in and let them all make their impacts on the world and let all know about them.

Mr.Slimeman 04:01, 22 August 2009 (UTC) I like the idea of the monster goblins. I do however (don't take it offensivly) that the halo Stay puft and devil Stay puft are a bit cheesy. Maybe if the evil Stay puft had burning red eyes and the good stay puft had glowing blue eyes, it would work better. But you got some good ideas here, maybe some stuff like this'll happen in the next GB movie (provided it gets off the ground).

Mr.Slimeman 01:12, 27 August 2009 (UTC) Good observations. It's esential to bring in some stuff from the past movies as it will have been a while since the last GB movies. Gotta work the old magic.

Ok three of them may be here Edit

http://forums.ghostbusters.net/showthread.php?t=8210, however the Slimer episode and a hour format version of Deja Boo are not there. Devilmanozzy 12:19, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

reply to: Linking to Filmation's Ghost Busters Edit

In regards to that story, Prime Evil in a odd way I could never see doing that. Second, The sony ghostbusters never spoke of filmation ghostbusters so I don't see them having strong feelings about the other ghostbusters deaths.

And in a unrelated second comment, are you going to be coming back to Madballs Wiki? I did some edits over there.....! Devilmanozzy 16:57, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

reply to: Werebears wiki Edit

I really don't know much on it, and from what I just read, it would seem that really you can't expect more than 50 articles for that wiki which is sort of a small wiki. I'll pass on it. I am hoping to build a few big wikis. Devilmanozzy 20:36, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

Mr.Slimeman 16:54, September 14, 2009 (UTC)Yes, Indeed that would be awesome.

Mr.Slimeman 17:50, September 20, 2009 (UTC) I did like the opening, except the weird chef thing. But I do admit, it seemed it got to be too childish by that time. I don't think Ghostbusters should be kill, die and all kinds of death stuff. But it just got too weird and a bit childish. I also hated some voice changes (ESPECIALLY Janine). Janine's voice gave her some great character, but when they changed it, she just got too plain. But they did pull out some good episodes.

Mr.Slimeman 04:23, October 4, 2009 (UTC) Boogaloo, that big thing from the third halloween episode? Hmm, I'm not sure about being siblings with Samhain, I mean they are very different. But they could have a connection.

reply Edit

The link to the RGB and XGB episodes is broken. Please make a note of it.

I looked and the links are working fine. What page are the links not working? Devilmanozzy (Talk page) 18:18, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Reply to the game canon thing... Edit

Wow. Not sure how to approach the idea and such. If it was not called a canon and was a fan story based on the games i'd suggest you posting it in the Ghostbusters Fan Scripts. Seems like a fun story, but the canon thing I can't seem to get past. Anyways fun idea. Devilmanozzy (Talk page) 20:32, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

New color scheme being doneEdit

I'm working on a new color layout so yeah it looks weird. Devilmanozzy (Talk page) 18:14, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Halloween Edit

Mr.Slimeman 05:50, November 2, 2009 (UTC) Know this is late, was away from my computer all of Halloween. THEN IT'S A FULL SCALE GHOST WAR. Bring the mini containment unit, the hunting Slimer, all the equipment.

Master Mold HERE Edit

Thanks a lot! About EGB: Code Ecto-1 game... No, you can't trap bosses. All you need is to deplete all their health and they will be defeated. Though, you could trap regular enemies! Master Mold 07:56, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Well, GBC game is... much inferior to other. It is a platform-jumping game without story, remarkable ghosts (all are uninspired), or even bosses. Master Mold 16:06, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
I wish you HAPPY NEW YEAR too! :))Master Mold 14:56, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
Why are you killing THE FIRST BOSS after the second and the last?? :)) Well, unfortunately, I don't remember how I defeated her :( Practice is the key, though. Master Mold 00:40, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
I might have been mistaken :\ But they probably mean Ecto-1, not the GBC.

You are obviously right about game Stay Puft and XGB Edit

If the game was canon in Extreme Ghostbusters, it wouldn't make any sense. The game ignores the fact that Stay Puft was a good guy in RGB since RGB isn't officially canon with the films. It would've been sweet if Stay Puft appeared in EGB, though. Connections to the movies could've probably kept the show on the air for a bit longer. SonofSamhain

I don't push the two canon thing cause I want to. I found it was sadly true after comparing things. Yes XGB's has nothing to do with the VG for the most part. I blame this on Harold Ramis as in Ghostbusters II movie was written with no respect to the RGB. Thats when the break in canons started. To the credit of GB:VG they did include the EGB trap in the basement, and the game has slimer as a pet sort of. Stay Puff in the animated became his own creature , but the movie canon the form is still connected to Gozer. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 18:39, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, my friend Edit

I am visiting this wiki on my Wii. Isn't that neat? I know you are busy at college and you can't always check my messages on a semi-regular basis. SonofSamhain 11:16, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Messed up. Yeah been busy lately with college as I getting closer to the finish line so to speak. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 16:14, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

This is important Edit

Some jerk erased the page on Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Ghost. I have restored it, but I am only good at text edits. This means that you have to redo the template and images. I know you won't enjoy having to do this all over again. SonofSamhain 18:55, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

The article is still up. You had the "?" missing. Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Ghost Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 19:14, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Whow Edit

Mr.Slimeman 07:09, February 23, 2010 (UTC) Haven't been on lately and missed the message. The game sounds interesting, perhaps you should hold onto it and submit it to some gaming company. I'll bet a number of places would pay big money for something like this, especially involving the ever so popular ghostbusters.

Ghostbusters Fanon wiki? Edit

Magma-Man wants to start up a new wiki based on fanon. If you are interested and think its a good idea, and there is one more user (perhaps Slimeman) I'll be willing to start it up, move all the fanon with user histories over there. Talk with Magma-Man about it (I'll read the talk pages so I'm aware if progress). Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 19:04, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

A Ghost Database? Edit

I have opened a very important Forum Discussion on this topic, and I badly need input by all who add content to this wiki about it. Thank you! Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 00:33, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

I do not understand Edit

I have made enough articles to give this wiki over 1,000 articles, but now the more I make, the less articles we have. I know you planned to erase my fanon articles, but I do not think that's it. SonofSamhain

Yeah I'm deleting them right now. There are a good 15 left to delete so this may not be the night we're reach 1,000. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 06:48, March 12, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I've deleted all the articles that I plan on deleting tonight. We're at 988 it looks, and so its your call if you want to try to get to 1000 tonight. Still looks do-able. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 07:09, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

About Polar Slimers Edit

What did you mean by "it won't work?" If it is because they haven't appeared after the accomplishments have been done, remember that the guide says that just because the requirements are done doesn't mean that the ghost will appear right away. Sometimes, you just have to keep at it until it appears.

SonofSamhain 19:25, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Dude, look it up, the last two Slimers saddly not showing up in the game. Theres threads on this. Polar Slimer is glitched. link to one of many on this. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 03:16, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

What you think of the Paranormal Database so far? Edit

I think we really got something here. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 06:14, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

There is a mistake in the Animated Ghost Database. Edit

Most of the ghosts from XGB are said to appear in the episode Witchy Woman. This isn't true. I'd do it, but I am afraid of screwing it up. SonofSamhain 05:53, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

It is a work in progress, like all of any wiki. I was seeding the page, trying to get the page covering more stuff. The episodes will be corrected as I get to them. As for the screwing up part, I rather you try, fail and undo than not try. I hope the page can be easy to understand after a few edits. This is NOT my project, its a Ghostbusters Wiki project. That means both input and editing are welcome to try to add to the page. I may provide a template for adding new ghosts in the near future. In short, give it a shot, I don't want to be the only one with input. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:29, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

I screwed up. I was adding info on the Database and suddenly messed it up. I tried to fix it, but onlyt made it worse. SonofSamhain 18:49, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Fixed. Whats happening is when you see this "<td></td>", you need to put the information inbetween the tags, not after them. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 19:56, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
Enjoying some edits, but a few in the class section appear to be based on Power level more than the standard class system. That being said, this is tricky as the wiki is going into some guess work territory. Please don't take edits personal, and keep thinking and editing. Your edits are useful for the project. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 19:16, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Is it really necessary to point out the REAL classifications for the animated ghosts? Edit

I mean, since the Animated Classification system doesn't really follow the rules of the Movie version, it doesn't seem necessary to point out what the ghosts' classifications would be if they used the system that was used in the movie and the Role-Playing Game. For one thing, even though the Animated system deals with how powerful an entity is, some ghosts' class levels are appropriate. For example, many Class 5 entities from the cartoons are like Slimer in that they appear to be humanoid while still looking somewhat inhuman and that both often slime things. That being said, I used logic and conductive reasoning to determine the Classifications of the other ghosts. For example, I determined the Leprechaun from the Extreme Ghostbusters episode The Luck of the Irish to be a Class 6 because he was too powerful to be a Class 5, but was too weak to be a Class 7. That being said, I just use the Classifications the GBs used on the shows if their Class Level was confirmed. SonofSamhain

The class system in the animated series is very debatable, and the higher up it goes it becomes even more hard to know what is what class. Anyways how hard is it to just place the episode classification in (). Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 21:42, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yes I will get to screencapping ghosts for the episodes Edit

School has made me pretty busy, but I have been following your new ghost articles. Screencaps/bio infoboxes from me will follow them soon. Please continue what your doing. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:01, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Article of the month for MayEdit

I'm wondering if you could focus on one of the articles that are from Extreme Ghostbusters Ghost and build it up so it can be 2500 bite count. Pick whatever one you want. I'll make screencaps for it. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 18:06, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

All of the ghosts in the Animated section of the Paranormal Database have articles as of now. Edit

This leaves only organizing the video game ghosts. When I saw that the guide needed video game ghosts, too, I was confused when I saw that it called for ghosts from every game, not just the game released last July. I will add some ghosts eventually. In the meantime, hang on!

SonofSamhain 08:42, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

It will include all the games ghosts as in from all the video games released. Biggest issues are classification system. Noted that if you look at the link on the discussion page for Paranormal Database it is revealed that indeed they got many of the ghosts classifications wrong in the realistic version of the game in 2009. I have a idea on how to address some issues and make this easier. Make another column for the tables in Animated and video games and have one being the one based on Classification system and one being the given version in the source materials. Also, I'm debating on making or adding a similar thing to the character infobox templates as well. I am sort of trying to fix up things and get it so its easier to understand the difference. On the actual articles, besides the infobox, I'd like to only use source materials and not anything else such as guesses on classes.
Note I think the animated series classes shouldn't be noted on normal class pages and may be instead noted on like on class pages called like say "Class 7 Animated" much like the character pages and such. This would be a bit less confusing to me. Separate and explain is what I'm thinking. After all if the animated class system is going by different rules, there is no point in having them on the same page on a class. They a different system.
Anyways, I wont touch a thing on the class stuff til you sort of tell me your thoughts on this. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 12:36, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Reply about game ghosts Edit

Yeah, I did notice some inconsistencies with the Classes. The Possessor Ghosts are class 7, and in the movies, it appears that you can only get rid of a Class 7 by destroying them or banishing them to their own realm. Even if it was possible to trap a Class 7 in the movies, it is just too easy to capture the Possessors, they're more like Class 3 or 4. I was actually thinking we'd do like the cartoons and have the correct movie-wise class system used with the class given in the actual media in parenthesis. The only real problem I have is that you and I are the only ones working on this. I think Mr. SlimeMan has gone offline and I haven't heard from Liberal Noob.

SonofSamhain 13:04, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Yes I think one of the last things I read from Liberal Noob was that college is getting busy for him and he's sort of right now away. Mr. SlimeMan never talked about what he does outside of here, so I have no clue. I'm thinking about also once again getting the wiki Spotlighted by wikia. I already have started addressing stubs and stuff here. They upped the rules on getting a spotlight and that may make it a bit harder to get one. I'll go for a spotlight again, and maybe that will get us some new editors. For now lets just keep moving ahead with the Paranormal Database. I'm a bit confused as I thought you had the animated class system all nailed down so to speak. I think the actual pages/articles should address the material it is based on. Even tho the Class system is the right way to address ghosts, that shouldn't overide the content of the page. I may be undoing or redoing some edits I did including they classes and instead moving the class in a template. I'm just trying to make these things less confusing for people not reading these normally. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 13:24, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

The Mr. Hyde ThingEdit

It was only a guess to who the third ghost was at the beginning/containment unit scenes Janine Melnitz, Ghostbuster. I knew the other two ghosts were based on fictional books, so I guess Mr. Hyde. So know that is a guess. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 14:22, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

Here is a image of it.... So what should it be named? ....He ain't the same as the eyeball one. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 06:42, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

It was so quick, I thought those two ghosts were the same. It was like they blasted the eye ghost and then trapped him. My suggestions for names would be Mole Ghost for the mouth and Tiny Cyclops for the other one. SonofSamhain 06:49, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
First off, I was debating if it was even worth the time to call out (like said they are different ghosts, tho quite frankly very similar and the same color)the second ghost since its air time was like 2 seconds. However, it is important I guess, and yes I like your name chances. Go with them. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 06:55, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
Interestingly theres a pumpkin ghost of some sort in that episode in the containment Unit scene. What are your feelings on that one? It doesn't look to be samhain. Thoughts? Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 07:05, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Funny you should say that Edit

This may seem a bit fanon, but I think it might be a connected to Samhain

List of possibilities:

He attempted to free the Halloween master from the Unit, but the GBs caught him

The first idea I had, and the most ridiculous, was that he may be an illegitimate child after Samhain did it with one of the ghosts. If you think about, the ghosts do anything to pass the time in their prison, and they may have lovers in their.

The most rational thought I have is that he may be one of Ol' Pumpkinhead's minions. I remember that in Samhain's debut episode, some of his ghostly henchmen were based on pumpkins and jack o' lanterns.

SonofSamhain 07:21, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Well, while I like the idea from a fan enjoyment type thing, they never said or suggested a thing of it. I do however suggest some sort of little section saying its not Samhain, such as Trivia. What else is wild in the episode is those Street Thugs ghosts which actually use guns and knives. And they so remind me of the Gremlins in the Gremlins Movies. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 07:29, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I like the Gremlins Edit

I especially like the ghost that has bandoliers and holds a gun. His voice is cool. I also would like to tell you that I've done some updates on the Madballs Wiki. I have created articles for both of the episodes, but the article for the second one is unfinished. I'll complete it when my mother fixes the videotape I have of it. I'd also like you to read my GB dream blog. I left a message to your reply a long time ago. I do not expect a reply to this message, but it would be nice.

SonofSamhain 07:44, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Its sad that the madballs series was discontuned like that. Anyways, never seen the second movie, so I can't help on that one. I'll take a look at GB Dream blog soon. Been busy (and still am) with finishing college. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 07:57, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Need help getting Spotlight for Ghostbusters WikiEdit

Seems as tho I made one mistake and left up the admin needed ad. That was a no no and Wendy denied Ghostbusters Wiki. I am asking you to come to Spotlights and edit the section for the Ghostbusters wiki request and add that there is no current admin search. Any other good comments about the wiki and why we need a spotlight would be helpful too. We're close, but I need your help! Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 09:39, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Update on the Database Edit

I noticed some more ghosts missing from the Paranormal Database in the animated section, so I added the ghosts that were omitted and then made articles for the ones that didn't have one. The animated database now lists every major ghost from the cartoons, and that means both ghosts that were the main antagonists(such as Rall or Dr. Destructo) in the episodes and minor ghosts that nevertheless played a major role in the episodes they appeared in(like the Greaser Haunt or the Scaredy-Cat Ghost). I'd like it if you added some images and templates, that is if you're not too busy.

SonofSamhain 15:21, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah been busy. I'll address the character pages shortly. The edits are looking great! Yes there are ghosts I feel missing from both RGB and EGB. I'll soon start up a page or something trying to get a project page for the animated. I'll be more active after this week is ended. Hoping to get back to making screencaps for the episodes too. Ambiguous Fates and other discussions Edit

I remember that Lothgar was trapped in Busters in Toyland, but I wonder if the Ghostbusters just left the trap behind and after they sealed the door, Lothgar was imprisoned there permanently, or if they brought the ghost trap containing Lothgar with them and dumped him into the Containment Unit after returning home. This leads to a possible explanation of why Gorgar was seen among the escaped ghosts in Guess What's Coming to Dinner. It could be that Gorgar was supposed to be Lothgar, but the animators got Lothgar mixed up with Gorgar. The evidence supporting this is that Gorgar and Lothgar are both very powerful demons with spiky protrusions all over their bodies and they even have similar names. The evidence that disproves my theory is that while Busters in Toyland comes before Guess What's Coming to Dinner on the DVD, it was actually the other way around when the cartoon originally aired.

My second confusion deals with The Phantom from Afterlife in the Fast Lane. When Phantom went back into his realm, one could assume that he is forever imprisoned in his domain, but there is a flash of light after he returns to his realm, so he might have been destroyed. Also, somebody posted the second Madballs episode onYouTube, so now's your chance to watch it.

SonofSamhain 12:45, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

While its a good explanation, I'm betting they just simply reused the character design templates for the episode Guess What's Coming to Dinner as every ghost shown in it was from season 6. The Phantom probably resigns in a part of the netherworld and since he was surprised to lose, he decided to leave them alone.
Say, about the Sleeping ghost article, in NOW Comics Vol. 1-17 I saw the red ghost you spoke of, tho it doesn't look like the sleeping ghost as he has legs. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 01:03, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Doing some good work Edit

I'll try to help with the NOW Comics sometime. Also, this Loosecannon540 guy appears to be a good help. He's done some editing on my Madballs wiki, mainly adding pictures for Wolf Breath, Skull Face, Oculus Orbus, and Horn Head as they appeared in the cartoon. Have you watched the Gross Joke episode on YouTube yet? If yes, I'd like you to post the following pictures.

  • Screamin' Meemie- appearance in Escape from Orb and Gross Jokes.
  • Freakella- As seen in Gross Jokes
  • Bash Brain- Both his cameo in Escape from Orb and his appearance in Gross Jokes.
  • Horn Head- Gross Jokes
  • Dust Brain- EFO and GJ
  • Oculus Orbus- Gross Jokes
  • Aargh- EFO and GJ
  • Slobulus- EFO and GJ
  • Skull Face- Gross Jokes
  • Escape from Orb of all 2nd series Madballs besides Wolf Breath.

I also have thought about making a Garbage Pail Kids Wiki, but I am not 100% sure if that would be a good idea. If you don't think I am right, we can work on it. Top priorities if this idea gets off the ground would be all of the original 15 series(and the unublished 16th series), the All-New Series, the crummy movie, and the at least half-decent and unaired cartoon. I just think it would be too much work to make articles for every individual Garbage Pail Kids character.

SonofSamhain 10:40, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Got most of those pictures up at Madballs wiki except the Badballs in Escape from Orb. Thoughts on a GPK wiki.... It is a bit of a debate if it really needs to be with a good three strong websites that have covered the whole subject matter pretty good. However, its your call, and really it all depends on what direction you take the wiki. Ghostbusters Wiki has quite a bit of competition but the hits and interest in the wiki are high so it keeps going. If you do choose to do it, I'd say do each card. People want to know about each of the characters, and the other sites don't do it. It would make GPK wiki more its own thing. Covering the movie would be a move in the right direction too. But unlike Madballs wiki, you'd need to be dedicated to it, much like me at Ghostbusters wiki. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:56, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Just some things I wanted to tell you Edit

About the Garbage Pail Kids Wiki, I think we should wait for someone else to make it, since you made the Ghostbusters Wiki and I made the Madballs Wiki. I am also happy that they are creating a third Ghostbusters movie as well as the possibility of another Ghostbusters game. If they ever make a new Ghostbusters video game, I'd like it if the player can customize their own Ghostbusters team, so it could appeal to all Ghostbusters fans(fans of the movies, fans of the cartoons, or fans of the whole franchise, like you and me). I also wouldn't be too surprised if the third movie does well enough to make a third TV show, and if that happens, I hope they continue the tradition by making it a sequel to Extreme Ghostbusters just as Extreme Ghostbusters was a sequel to The Real Ghostbusters. If that is not the case, I don't care.

SonofSamhain 07:32, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know why a GPK Wiki never was made to be honest. It seems logical to me. Anyways, I'm right now focused on the outcome to Ghostbusters III and when and if it gets officially made. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:28, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Just wanted you to be aware Edit

An unregistered contributor was spamming articles, so I blocked him and undid the damage. I didn't want to be harsh like with Uberfuzzy, so I blocked the user for one week. If I made a mistake by making it last one week, I'll just block him again, only permanently(if it is possible to do so, I have been editing wikis for a long time and I am still learning how they work). I also hope you continue with the NOW Comics. If I remember correctly, the Marvel UK Comics were just reprints of the NOW Comics series.

SonofSamhain 14:41, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Saw him too though I've seen worse. A week seems about right to me. Anyways, here is a page I started on this a year ago "Mod Startup Kit". It address what I feel works. That being said, There is no straight guideline on this. Like noted on the page Anonymous users are hard to deal with to begin with. I try to always work with users even if they are not on my page. But based on some of the reading I got of his edits, he seems to like to add one line of pretty simple text to a given article without noting the structure of the article. Harder still is trying to tell them this. more than likely they don't read they own talk page, and they seem to be aloof so to speak.
Comics........I'll be back on NOW Comics shortly. With Marvel UK RGB comics, some are reprints, but many are original and I hope someone will add input to the articles if they see them started. Sometimes, its best to atleast Seed what you can for people to work off of. Some of the NOW Comics, I don't currently have to make pictures of. The ones I don't have are 28, all 4 Vol 2 set, and that odd annual refered as vol 2 #0. Have 1-27, Annual 1992, Annual 1993, and the RGB meet GBII 3 parter.

Thoughts on Multiple stories in one comicEdit

I want to do the following to those comics...

==title of story==
===Cast===
===Plot===

instead of what is there now. Do you agree? Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:16, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

I'd rather not worry about that right now. Edit

I had everything all in one go because their was a frame story around the four other stories of Egon telling them to the reader. I'm also a bit busy adding the synopsis to the other comics and creating articles for the characters. Maybe I'll get back to that when I'm done with the other comics. I know that I'll use your techniques in the other comics with more than one story. I will also need some of your help in adding the synopsis, because I once read the Boogieman issue on GBFans, but it was missing the last pages. I know that the Ghostbusters managed to recapture the Boogieman from reading a blog and a fan fic by Fritz Baugh that had B-man having a conversation with the makeoverus Lotsabucks while in the Containment, and the fic said that it took place after the Closet Case story. GBFans also has only one Annual comic available to watch, and it also appears to be missing pages. What I am asking is that you offer me an alternative place to read these comics. I just don't want to boher you. SonofSamhain`

....I can help with that if you got a email or email me. My web site has a page of contacts, send me a quick message with your user name, and I'll send back the last page to comic 26. Got Annual 1992, and 1993. Only thing I don't have is that vol 2, #0 comic :( . However, I also have one of the two stories from v.2#0 from a marvel annual I downloaded.
I take it multiple stories fix up is fine then. "B-man having a conversation with the makeoverus Lotsabucks while in the Containment".....Woot? never read that! Where did you get that info on ectozone ....whats the name of the Fan Fic? Me want to know more on that one. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 16:05, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

NOW Comics stuff Edit

I have finished adding information on the first and second volumes of the NOW comic book. As for the Annuals, I was thinking that you could do some work. I wouldn't mind if you took care of the plots and characters of the annual comics. I am saying this because I have other things to do. I can't be everywhere at once. I am also thinking of reconsidering my opinion of whether or not the NOW Comics are canon. A lot of the NOW Comics stories are rather cool, funny, and amusing. I also have dirt on the whole Samhain-comic death thing. It once occured to me that Samhain's appearance in the intro to Extreme Ghostbusters was just meant to be an homage to The Real Ghostbusters, but I remembered reading an interview on a Ghostbusters fan site where somebody working on Extreme Ghostbusters said that Samhain was at one point going to appear on the show and that his appearance in the intro was what remained of the idea. I really think they should have done that anyway, cause it would've been neat to have more RGB villains appear. I mean, if the Grundel returned, why wouldn't they also let Samhain, the Boogieman, the Sandman, and the Ghostmaster return as well.

SonofSamhain 13:30, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry had family issues a few days ago. Well Samhain has appeared outside of RGB media in Ghostbusters Role-Playing Game. Anyways, I feel NOW Comics Vol. 1-17 really was a rewarding entry, and the factor that they rope the comics together by using characters in more than once adds charm. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 07:16, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

That jerk I blocked for a week returned and went back to spamming articles. Edit

I didn't want that scoundrel to show his face again, so this time I blocked the annoying s**t for a year. I will now get started on undoing the damage.

SonofSamhain 06:06, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

This is the annoy part about spotlights, then the vandals also come here. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 07:16, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

He erased almost all the contents of Killerwatt Animated and he screwed up the template for Poltergeists (Type of Creatures)

New Class TemplateEdit

Check it out .... Template:Infobox Class Rating. Also, here it is in use on Toy Ghost. What do you think? Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 14:54, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Neat idea Edit

First, the Paranormal Database, now this. Where do you get these great ideas? Egon?

I have also done some recent edits. I found out the names of the Ghostmaster's three bounty hunters, I've cleaned up the Ghostbusters theme song, and I also specifiec Killerwatt's cameos in the Containment Unit.

SonofSamhain 18:45, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

I feel that the three Bounty Hunters, really are different creatures, and in Nurgot case, he has appeared outside of the episode by himself. (I have screen caps of all three of them.)If anything, maybe a page for Ghostmaster's servents would be a useful page. Also, what do we call that red bug eyed creature at the start of Short Stuff? Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 19:09, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Idea to deal with Paranormal DatabaseEdit

I'm looking into a plan to make the page more manageable. Also, looking into getting articles on the 3 parter RGB in GBII. Also, trying to get screencaps done for the comics. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 16:07, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

After much thought about a GPK WikiEdit

I started one due to the odd factor that many of the GPK sites have been shutting down the last few years. GPK WIKI. Note, I am looking into getting templates made for the Series, and for each card. I'm looking to add you as a equal admin to this wiki if you still want it. I just wanted to get it started. Also, add me as Administrator to Madball wiki so I can upload the wiki logo. Note only as a Administrator and not a Bureaucrat (Don't want such a high stake in Madball wiki, just want to get the logo up and stuff. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 18:36, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Nurgot doesn't seem to appear in Partners in Crime Edit

I have new art at DeviantArt Edit

Devilmanozzy DeviantArt page has new art based on Both the RGB and FGB. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 08:41, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

I am going to do another thing for this wiki. Edit

Just to make this conversation interesting. I know we have "trapped"(made an article about) Poso's Followers, but did we "put them into the Containment Unit"(List them in our Paranormal Database)? Also, I am going to create articles for the Displaced Aggression IDW Comic, because I have a copy of it. My sister saw it while she went shopping for her birthday presents, and saw some stuff she knew I'd like. One of our family traditions is that when one of us has a birthday, the other siblings will get some presents so they don't feel left out. Anyway, I was at first confused, because I have to split the story into five articles, and my copy is a graphic novel with all four stories in one, and it is hard to tell where one story ends and another begins. Fortunately, I have worked something out. The first article will be about Peter Venkman's ghostbusting adventures in the Wild West and meeting Rachel Unglighter, then deciding to travel through time and rescue the other Ghostbusters. The second will be when they go to the medieval times to rescue Ray. The third one will be about when they go to the futuristic world to rescue Egon. The fourth and last one will be about when they go back to the present time to reunite with Winston and defeat Koza'Rai, as well as that story where Janine was sent to the 18th century and started her own ghostbusting business with help from the ghost of Leonardo Da Vinci until the boys in gray came to rescue her.

SonofSamhain 06:57, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

I'll look into getting front covers up. That is why I waited on it. Also, I currently only have scanned up for screencaps all 4 otherside comics, displaced Aggression 2, and Tainted Love. So I can only do screencaps for things going on in those. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 22:35, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Edit

Long time. I also like the new badge system. I wasn't just editing like mad to earn the badges. Some of the requirements to earn the badges felt like something I should try. As for earning more badges, it appears I can only earn more by being patient. I just hope you're not jealous that I am ahead of you. I have more points. You see, I've always seen you as my boss. You're the Mr. Burns to my Homer Simpson. Wish I could give another example.

SonofSamhain 17:41, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry. Been tired the last day, and of coarse getting the badges done at both Ghostbusters Wiki and GPK Wiki is taking up time. No, I really am not concerned who is up. I hope people enjoy the concept of ghost collecting with the badges. I set up some fun characters, based on the type of edit, as RGB are straight article edits, EGB are for setting categories, and more. LOL I'm the caretaker, that is all. Note, I don't currently have a love for the sport of axe carving. Tho some scotch on the rocks sounds good. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 22:35, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

Still working on the Toy Section. Edit

Sigh, nothing fun about working on the toy section, but I feel it is needed. Same for the Mattel line and minimate line after the kenner line. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:23, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about the Walter Peck trap thingEdit

I thought you had simply copy pasted another ghostbusters information and forgot to remove the with trap part. I was unaware there was a trap in that set, and after a bit of research I found a place that showed the trap with walter peck. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 18:13, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Important beyond belief!Edit

Please go here, and read and reply. I need either your support or what your issues are with the merger. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 13:10, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

(I have spoken on the community thread.) I am trying to help you as you have helped me, but I also have problems I am trying to solve. I feel like all of us are experiencing a Crisis on Infinite Earths. I am troubled by the pollution and endangered animals. I am struggling to do well in school. Also, how are you doing on the employment line. I know that you are one of the most important members of Team Ghostbusters Wiki, but you need to pay the bills and stuff somehow. Money doesn't grow on trees, not because it doesn't, but because it is not easy to get it. I'm sounding like Louis Tully here. SonofSamhain 13:22, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Where? Anyways, I mean by support would be to say that you are fine with the idea of moving content to gbfans. Please however say how you feel on this thread, as thats the link AJ got sent in the PM on GBFans. I doubt he'll be looking at our talk pages for comments.
BTW, this move couldn't come soon enough, I can't use the back button on wikia pages anymore, and images are not loading. This is really pissing me off. lolDevilmanozzy (Talk Page) 14:59, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
AJ has approved the idea on his side. Really its your call, cause you are my right hand man, and I can't dare see myself moving stuff without your approval. Your opinion counts to me. Please state what you feel on the forum. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 15:38, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Merger Ain't happeningEdit

While I did delay the merger as said earlyer in the thread in the forum, There are other issues at work. After trying out some things at GBFans, it is clear they don't have they wiki set up very good. I talked to AJ about it, and pretty much he doesn't want my input on it "its fine" he says. Currently they also can't post any images other than jpgs (this wiki mostly uses png files). Another reason we can't merge is more of a issue of our mass. SonofSamhain we are just too good at building lol.

So, I'm looking into a second plan that would instead have us build a new wiki on my web site. I have built actual wikis from scratch before (Shmups wiki), so I do have a idea of what it would detail. But at this point I say, lets wait for wikia to bomb with the new wikia look. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 12:18, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Ian! it's me, Meg, ur sis :p if you aren't already, you might wanna think about becoming an Admin! :P You know wut they say. All toasters, toast toast! 18:53, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I see you've changed the color of the GPK Wiki's skin Edit

I know you did it because you are the only person contributing to it other than me! I also added ChristopherJones' Slimer pic on deviantART to my favorites. Slimer's just so cute in it. The only reason I said Hi other than saying all this stuff and keeping up with this daily editing is that we've not talked in a bit.

SonofSamhain 15:50, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

Been busy in real life, and am starting to get the wiki and others ready for the "new Wikia" look. I changed the colors on GPK wiki to see if it was easier to read. I think its a better color scheme. Tho a independent may be made by me after the new look happens. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 02:43, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

SorryEdit

Sorry for not asking, but I fixed your userpage. It looked a little bit wrong. I hope you don't mind ;) I have fixed more people's userpage. I'm really sorry for not asking. By the way, I think it's good to archive your talk page :) --Station7 20:27, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!....Wiki? Edit

I feel that the Beetlejuice Franchise needs a wiki. I'm starting research on what all is out there under the Franchise.

I'm looking for friends and like minded editors for this project. I don't know as much or have the resources I have had for other wikis for this project. If started, I think it could be a great wiki to promote with Ghostbusters Wiki, Filmation Ghostbusters Wiki, and Ghostbusters Fanon Wiki. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 09:57, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

I remember looking for a BJ wiki and only finding one about the same-named musician from Howard Stern. I will gladly try to contribute to the Beetlejuice Wiki once it is set up. If you've seen the movie, good. Also, every episode of the cartoon is on YouTube(though not all of them are submitted by the same user) SonofSamhain 11:24, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
While Beetlejuice may be a lesser to Ghostbusters, there is one scene in that movie that trumps everything ghostbusters..... "Beetlejuice the snake"!
Give me two weeks to get my ducks in a row here, (also while avoiding the sandworms) and I get it started. Need to get images together first so we can start it out well. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 12:11, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

GhostbustersEdit

I think you're with the wrong guy. I don't understand what you mean...no really not.--Station7 14:08, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

I think you're confused. I only said that I want to edit your userpage, but that now not needed anymore. That was the problem. that's now solved.--Station7 14:27, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Why would I ruin your reputation. By the way, i have Autism (no friends, so why would I ruin someone's reputation?)--Station7 14:36, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe you should archive your talk page. By the way, making a userbox for Autism people. I already know where to find one ;) --Station7 14:44, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Well, it looks like Wikia won.Edit

This isn't so bad. I could get used to Wikia's new look. Sorry I haven't been updating lately. I made four Halloween pinups on deviantART and I've been trying to beat the first and third Streets of Rage games(I already beat Streets of Rage 2 twice). I just need time to adjust to everything. SonofSamhain 15:35, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

Sigh. Yeah, not liked it yet, but I'm willing to adjust. Been busy at work and RL matters such as a cat dieing and such. As you have seen, Beetlejuice is semi started.

Never played Streets of Rage, but interestingly the same guy that did the music for the 2 ActRaiser games.

Hi. Have you ever watched Halloween? I like the first two but after that its like "Come on! Youve been stabbed, Shot six times, and then you were in an explosion and we all watched you burn to death at the end Halloween II. Just die already! Youre just an insane patient not a demon dude who wont cant die." The first two were good though.WhoYaGonnaCall? 01:23, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Just wanted to point out some things about Extreme Ghostbusters. Edit

While it is more serious, there were some pretty funny scenes, like in Be Careful What You Wish For when they had a giant toy robot appear and then show a woman scolding her child for talking to strangers, humorously implying that the toy robot was a result of a wish the boy told Duophanes about. Another thing I thought was funny was when snow got on Eduardo in the episode with the Harasvelg and Garrett said "Hey look! It's Frosty the Idiot Boy!" It's not nice, but funny nonetheless.

I also noticed some similarities episodes of XGB had to RGB. Below are some examples.

I am pretty sure the similarities between these episodes are coincidental.

SonofSamhain 21:29, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Very true, but just within the very RGB banner there were those repeat subjects:

and then there is the whole Rollerghoster thing..... (From Marvel/Nows "The Rise and Fall of Ghostbusting") (Marvel Comics "Rollerghoster!"). Oh yeah, Filmation had a episode named "Rollerghoster" too!

Yeah.... Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 22:10, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Long timeEdit

Seems we're both busy as of late. Ghostbusters Wiki seems to be a happening place as of late. Anyways, Mrmichaelt is up for Requests for administrator. This will be the last of these I'm going to do for some time. Anyways what are you up to? Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 11:18, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Slow business Edit

I really ought to watch out for my wikis more often. An unregistered contributor vandalized two articles on the Girls Bravo wiki. Fortunately, the damage was minor and I was able to fix it. I was also able to block that jerk, remembering that it was in my power since I am now in charge of the Girls Bravo wiki. Anyway, what have you been up to lately?

SonofSamhain 16:36, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Wow, I slept the whole day today from 3 am to 6 pm. As for the vandalism, yeah it happens. I see attacks all the time on the lesser wikis I maintain. As for what I'm doing today.....Sleeping.............! Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 00:55, November 19, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, how's everything buddy Edit

I have lately made new pictures on my Deviantart account. I am happy that Thanksgiving will come in two days. I also wonder how you are doing, and hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. You made a great picture of the Ghostmaster. SonofSamhain 15:02, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Yeah, been going back and playing GB:TVG(SV) as of late to get screen caps for the wiki. I took a break from art making a while now but came back with a few images week ago. I added yesterday a interesting image of Beetlejuice as a Ghostbuster. Anyways, take care. Devilmanozzy (Talk Page) 21:18, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

Please answer! Edit

I am sorry I was not active here lately, but I have done a lot on the other Wikis I contribute to. The Madballs Wiki has information on the comic book now and the Girls Bravo Wiki has an article for every episode of the anime, every chapter of the manga, the PS2 visual novel, and nearly every character. Wish you'd check your messages more often.

SonofSamhain 18:36, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

I have been very busy lately on the move in my life and things related to it. I barely get time to edit articles here right now at all.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  10:31, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Problem with Animated Paranormal Database Edit

Some characters(as in letters, numbers, punctuation, etc.) are sticking out at the top of the template. I have no idea what is causing it. I tried erasing the extra </tr> at one entry, but it just changed the outside-template characters. I also attempted to erase the </ br> characters at the top underneath the Animated Database summary, but that didn't seem to do anything! Soon I will get around to putting Woodchuck and Power Guy to the storage facility.

SonofSamhain 15:02, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Sigh, I see the problem. I am actually thinking of redoing the Paranormal Database with Wiki pipe(Wiki tables) instead of the CSS tables that currently we use. So while it looks ugly, I can only say hang in there, cause it'll go away during the conversion. Also, the issue predates your edits. I didn't notice it but its been there a good 3 edits before today.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  15:52, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Understood Edit

Thank you for replying. It's been ages since I got a message on my talk page. It's odd how I've done so much for Ghostbusters, Madballs, and Girls Bravo wikis, and still the hard work as just begun. I got five of the ten issues of the Madballs comics for Christmas, so I used the information to update the articles on the Madballs Wiki regarding the comic. Once I recieve the fifth, sixth, seventh, ninth, and tenth issues of the Madballs comic book, I will resume editing there. I also plan to someday return to the Garbae Pail Kids Wiki and resume editing. I'm just a little overwhelmed. Everyday, it's school, pleasure, and editing on Wikia, and this wiki's usually the only one I ever have time to contribute to these days. SonofSamhain 16:00, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

I know how that is. I havn't been able to edit as much as I once did due to the move and the job hunt.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  16:25, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Killerwatt IssuesEdit

I think you're a little late with making it a must to add references. For one thing, the Killerwatt article said he made two cameos for a long time. Whoever posted that info is probably long gone by now. Also, I want to give you my word that I will never post false information on this wiki, and if I ever do, it's because I do not know it is false, and if that is the case, I will remove the false info I added once i am informed it is false.

On another note, it's great how big this article is spanning. Considering the minor ghosts we've covered recently, should their be an article about the ghost in Masquerade that haunted a vase gallery? Only problem we have in covering minor ghosts nowadays other than limited info(if any) is having to put it in the Containment Unit(Paranormal Database) after trapping it(making an article for it). SonofSamhain 11:24, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

The reference thing can be changed over time (heck it wont happen over nite). I'm hoping others will get on board and help, tho at this point we are only going to focus on new content that needs references. I hope to have a process for doing references here soon, so everyone can easily do it.
Actually, there are four in that episode. Anyways, any ghost such as them should be covered. Its quite breath taking how many ghosts that have been covered here.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  14:16, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Some days, it seems the censors were pretty lazy Edit

There were some things I was quite shocked to find in RGB and EGB, since those shows were aimed at kids. Makes me wonder how it got past the censors.

RGB Examples:

  • At the end of Once Upon a Slime, it at first looks like Ray is reading Slimer a porno mag. Even with Ray's remark of being a shame something wonderful can't come to life and the other Ghostbusters saying Slimer may be a little young for that.
  • In Trading Faces, there was a part where the Evil Slimer twin was clearly slapping Janine in the butt. There's no two ways about it, Slimer's evil lookalike was sexually harassing her!

EGB Examples:

  • Janine says "Hell's Kitchen" in Back in the Saddle, Part 1.
  • While it could easily go right over the heads of young viewers, when Janine remarks that her relationship with Egon would be easier if love were something he could see under the microscope, we hear Spengler say "Interesting, these paramecium are mating".

Kind of lacks credibility, since a lot of the ghosts on Extreme Ghostbusters were pretty frightening to children. Oddly, I was real young when I first saw Extreme Ghostbusters, and I never even flinched at the sight of the ghosts. This must run in the family, because I once showed my youngest sister Frankenstein when she was two. Then again, most 1930's horror movies are not very scary when compared to today's standards. SonofSamhain 07:51, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, currently I'm having issues with wikia and they update as my user stuff has been reset. Totally annoying. Devilmanozzy 20:26, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

then if Ray and Egon are 38 and 40 Edit

Then how old are Peter and Winston?

Timeline Project Edit

Appreciate the help there, but I'd prefer to work on the animated timeline alone for now as I thought Devilmanozzy stated on the main timeline page. Then when its finished, the team can go through it and put whatever suggestions on the Talk page. In fact, I already finished the Movie Canon one. If you want, it'd be a big help if another set of eyes went through it and looked for anything missing, grammar mistakes and post them in the Talk Page. Thanks, Mrmichaelt 01:54, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

Hey there SonofSamhain, Mrmichaelt was put in charge of the timelines. It is a extension of his own project he had already started. It is the type of project that we feel only one person should edit. Anyways, hope there are no hard feelings there.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  14:45, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

Agenda Policy (Important Read)Edit

Agenda Policy is a very Important Policy that addresses who we as a wiki are, and who we are not. I want all current administrators to read it over, and to sign it. (do this: "*~~~") I am doing this in light of my recent events and to show fellow fans that indeed we are a open and friendly place. It may seem a bit over the top, but I see reasons for it.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  22:39, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Just wanted to talk Edit

Your theories about the ghost being the Ghostmaster's minion are pretty strong. Come to think of it, the Ghostmaster may have had a hand in some of the Ghostbusters' previous missions. After all, he was originally going to be the main antagonist to make it consistent with most shows back then as they didn't really have a specific recurring nemesis(and if they continued with that concept, they probably would've planned for a third episode where he escaped the Containment Unit).

I am aware that Samhain, the Boogieman, and even Stay Puft appeared more often than the Ghostmaster, but the main thing was that the boys in gray never had a specific archenemy, and in a way, the Ghostmaster was one of those ghosts that were pretty close in fitting that category. And why else would he be called the Ghostmaster? He is the master of ghosts!

I also have to say you are pretty good with theories and the timeline. No way I could've done such a thing by myself. It would be hard to pay attention to every little time-related detail.

SonofSamhain 05:45, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

That would have been interesting if the staff set up Ghostmaster's existence/hand in things before his first appearance but I like the theory, overall. A bit of a nitpick on my part, but I never got why he remained in the Containment Unit. I figured he'd recharge his power in there and well, blow up the ECU, and escape.
As for the multi-limbed ghost, it's a toss up. I mean, I got my theory that hinges on a lot of speculation and implication, but your suggestion it gets its own page has its merit, too, since it makes a 'cameo' in the Extreme Ghostbusters credits. To be honest, I might have been more on edge that day and a little more defensive than usual. Working with others on a wiki is still a new thing for me.
And thanks about the timeline. I was rather surprised and humbled when Devilmanozzy suggested it be added because its a rather divisive issue with fans. I've made them before and working on two currently for other animated series and I'm not sure how I got the idea to research those little hints and details like full moons and holidays but I'm glad I did. But trust me, it takes a lot of time (even years) and stubbornness. Trust me, I wanted to quit many times on the timelines and I even quit on my version of the Spirit Guide twice. It took me essentially 12 years to finish that file. Ha ha, I'm even close to convincing myself to write up an all-inclusive Classification System. Mrmichaelt 06:25, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
I am not discouraging you, but I am not really sure an all-inclusive class system will work, as the movie and cartoon stuff are again different.

MOVIE CLASSIFICATIONS:

  • Class 1- Non-senitent vaporous manifestation
  • Class 2- Incomplete manifestation(e.g., floating sheets, crawling hands)
  • Class 3- Unidentified spirit of a deceased person, or the spirit of a deceased person unaware of the current time.
  • Class 4- Identified spirit of a deceased person, or the spirit of a deceased person that is aware of the current time.
  • Class 5- A malevolent but relatively harmless specter that is vaguely humanoid in appearance and/or behaviour.
  • Class 6- Animal spirits
  • Class 7- Highest class level, godlike entity with immense power

ANIMATED CLASSIFICATIONS:

  • Class 1- The weakest entities
  • Class 2- Harmless entities
  • Class 3- Malevolent, but still harmless
  • Class 4- Same as Class 3
  • Class 5- Same as movie version
  • Class 6- A being of unlimited power, but still weak enough to be captured.
  • Class 7- Similar to position in movie classification, except it is possible to trap Class 7 ghosts, when in the movies they could only be dispersed or forced back into the ghost world.
  • Class 8- Very powerful entities, but could still be captured.
  • Class 9- So powerful, they are difficult to trap(I remember in Simon Quaig's episode, Ray talked about trying to trap the horse, even though they didn't actually do it)
  • Class 10- Extremely powerful
  • Class 11- Extremely strong and powerful leaders of lesser spirits
  • Class 12- Even more powerful, but never actually seen. Many have speculated that The Player was a Class 12, but he said he was a class all to himself(whatever that means)
  • Class 13- Tenebraug was oddly weak when compared to Ghostmaster and the toy ghost. I mean, he was defeated so easily.

I also was disappointed the Ghostmaster never returned. As for recharging his power, it could be the Containment had special security features that prevented powerful but weakened entities from recovering their strength and getting the power to escape. Of course, there were some episodes where despite its size the grid would get too full, and it seems they made adjustments so it could continue to store more ghosts.

SonofSamhain 11:27, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

No worries. In the end, I'd have to look at my spirit guide file and my episode notes and look if there's a consistent pattern of traits and what not. If I can, the classification system would probably have to be Egon's version circa 1997/EGB. It'll just take a while for me to process everything and I'll probably have to set some assumptions and what not like I did with some of the timeline events.
Yeah, could be some sort of ectoplasmic dampening mechanism dohickey that Egon built in to keep the entities in a weakened state. I guess the reason I never thought of it were moments like when Surt made Siren hypnotize Slimer. But then again, that was an isolated case. Mrmichaelt 00:09, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Mr. Hyde was a perfect decision Edit

Back when you came to the conclusion the third library ghost in Janine Melnitz, Ghostbuster was Mr. Hyde, I agreed with you. I can't think of any other 19th century literature characters that were ugly, sinister men wearing top hats. The thing I wasn't sure about was that I didn't even notice him the first time I saw the episode. It's quite funny, because it is similar to our debate where I thought the Tiny Cyclops and Mole Ghost were the same entity. When Ray shot Hyde, I amy have mistaken him for Ahab(which probably wouldn't make any sense, since he was already blasted.)

All in all, I wasn't skeptical. I just wasn't aware the Mr. Hyde ghost even existed back then. Sometimes there are things in the episodes I can only notice if I watch it more than once.

SonofSamhain 11:18, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Live and let learn, you know. I have been wrong on here more than my share, and with cartoons like that, they sometimes used a ghost twice or three times during a episode. Being that many in that episode had that "17-18 hundreds" look, I can see the confusion. What I find surprising is they never debate these things at other ghostbuster forums/places. I love a good discussion about elements in the show/films/video games. That is what makes this place worth going to everyday.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  12:57, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Reasons your idea for an all-inclusive class system may work after all Edit

There are some similarities in the class systems. Both class systems established that Class 5 creatures were vaguely humanoid in appearance, haivng a tendency to slime everything, and in some cases being gluttonous in nature. Both also dictated that Class 7 ghosts were gods and demons or very powerful ghosts. They also kind of mixed and matched class information exlcusive to one another.

Ghostbusters novelization: I am aware that this book predates RGB, but it is worth noting how they use Class 9. Makes me wonder how they busted it. I have two solutions to that: First, the unlikely solution- Gozer was really a Class 10. I have known people who speculated that Gozer was really a Class 10, but I actually think he was a Class 7. The other solution I came up with by reading the original script- It was possible to trap Gozer, they just destroyed him instead because he was too elusive. Note that in the original shooting script, one of the busters says "Forget trapping it. Let's just blast it."

Animated Classifications: In Rollerghoster, they classify the ghost as a Class 6, wihch would be appropriate since it was a collective of animal ghosts and in the West End Role-Playing games, Class 6 entities were said to be animal spirits.

Once more, I'd just like to point out a few minor differences. In the movies, Class 7 was the highest class level and they were too powerful to trap, instead being disposed of by either destroying them or forcing them back to the ghost world. In the animated series, it was possible to trap a Class 7 and there were even higher classes of ghosts, with Class 9 entities being difficult to trap(as Ray described in The Man Who Never Reached Home, and they destroyed(or banished) Proteus instead of trapping him. They managed to trap S.I.D.N.E.E.(who was labeled as a Class 10) using a giant proton cannon and a giant ghost trap fashioned from a fire truck and a garbage truck respectively.

All in all, it is an interesting idea. And like Devilmanozzy and you, I am one of those Ghostbusters fans who likes the entire franchise as a whole. Everything has its pros and cons.

Movie Canon:

PROS- Funny lines, cool busting montages, lots of stuff.

CONS- Gray uniforms(only becuase they bring a lack of individuality, which may be why they made the uniforms multicolor in the cartoons)

Animated Canon:

RGB PROS- The animated characters are more fun to draw, a lot of interesting episodes and references to the films. While the show seemed to start jumping the shark by Season 3, there were some episodes in th elater seasons I particularly enojyed and found easy to compare to the earlier episodes: Elementary My Dear Winston, Halloween II 1/2, and The Bogeyman Is Back (unlike most fans, I actually tolerate the Junior Ghostbusters. I see them as a half-baked attempt in making the show more relatable to children. They can be annoying at times, but it was cool how they got us to see Boogieman and Samhain again)

RGB CONS- Like it or not, many of the later season episodes are a bit nonsensical and lacking in quality. The one episode of the show I absolutely despise is Venk-Man. The only thing good about that episode was the ghosts they used. I like Stay Tooned even though Sammy was annoying. I knew exactly how Peter felt, except I hated Sammy more because I hate it when people say "kiddo". I couldn't help but smile knowing that he wouldn't be botheirng anyone anymore now that he's in the Containment Unit.

EGB PROS- A lot of the ghosts were pretty interesitng(my favorites were the laughter vampires, the Mirror Demon, Achira, and Tempus. I kind of liked the new equipment, though that may be because EGB was my introduction to the franchise.

EGB CONS- Very few references to the movies(If Stay Puft appeared on Extreme Ghostbusters, it would've been so awesome!) Only references beyond variations of classic lines like "We Came, We Saw" and "Disaster of Biblical Proportions" was how Tenebraug's orb is from Moldova, formerly known as Moldavia, where Vigo is from. Last, but not least, it only lasted one season. I would've loved to see more episodes. :(

SonofSamhain 12:11, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I noticed the Class 9 in Richard Mueller's novelization, as well. It also mentions Ray invented three different types of Ghost Traps. I know for a fact that in the RGB cartoon there was one episode where Egon made a new trap but it was so powerful it trapped itself (it was a 3 second scene gag, but still noteworthy). So along with S.I.D.N.E.E.'s capture, I think it is possible to trap up nearly all classes, it just depends on the strength of the trap and the entity. They managed to trap the Ghostmaster, a Class 11, by exerting most of his power.
As for Gozer, the GBI and Marvel UK Comic CDI lists it as a Class 7 whereas the Spengler's Spirit Guide lists Stay-Puft as a Class 10, implying Gozer as a Class 10, too. Which works out because the Toy Ghost in "Ghosts R Us" is a Full Magnitude Class 10 and was said to be the most powerful entity they encountered so far. I think at the time, the trap was too weak against a Class 10 and Gozer was sorta super charged from the summoning.
I've been meaning to brush up on my biology but I've been dancing around an idea to structure the CDI's by Order (like Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Genus, Species, etc.). The higher the order, the more Classes the CDI lists. So like the GBI would be a third order because it has 7 classes listed and the Spengler's Spirit Guide one would be a second order because it has 10 classes listed. If I ever get to writing my own version, it'd be first order, listing 13 classes. I like the idea of there only being one-of-a-kinds for Class 11-13 (Ghostmaster, Player, Tenebraug) but I'm sorta stuck on what class the Old Ones like Cathulhu would be other than the fact it defies standard classification.
But yeah, it's possible...heh. Mrmichaelt 01:10, April 29, 2011 (UTC)

New Stuff:Voting on MattersEdit

I have a matter I'd like you to vote and give input on here on this page: Ghostbusters Wiki:Voting on Matters. Also, please check this page every 5 to 7 days if you can to see if a new vote is going on. Your a administrator here because I value your opinion on things, and your time.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  08:26, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

I am just a bit confused by these grid things. If things were easier to work with, I'd post my vote yes. I do not like links, pics, and stuff being stolen without permission. You respect my opinions, so I give you my vote here.
PS- Your new avatar image greatly unnerves me. I've seen it before. I am lucky I do not have nightmares about it.
SonofSamhain 12:07, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Please just try out the page. I'd rather fix up the formatting and have your edit there, than to move it. I want to use the page when the wikia helper asks for proof. I went ahead and made the spot for you to edit there.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  12:19, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Clean up.... big oneEdit

I had suspected user PrincessPussyCat0891 had stolen images from other sites, but tonight I found where he stole some.... GBFans. So after find a good 10 stolen images, I have deemed all his images were stolen either from GBFans, or Spook Central or other ghostbusters sites. I am deleting all his images (well there may be one or two savable) but too notable are some of these. So don't be surprised by the missing images, but don't worry, I'll fix those holes up with new screen caps I'm taking from the movies. So please be patent with this process. Keeping Ghostbusters Wiki creditable is my mission here. We do not need stolen images here. Most of the images I'm deleting look bad anyways. GBFans really has a terrible scanner over there lol. We can do better, and we are going to!  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  04:56, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

Lothgar Edit

I know that he was trapped in Busters in Toyland, but there is ambiguity concerning whether he is now permanently trapped in Toyland or if they brought the trap with them upon exiting. While they did destroy the clock and seal the portal permanently, it not only would've been to prevent Lothgar from returning, other possibilities could be to prevent someone else from entering the barren world or to prevent it from falling into the hands of another entity. And it was really unclear whether they left the trap behind or brought it with them when they got out of Toyland.

SonofSamhain 06:58, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Fine with me. I'm rather focused on making image galleries for the first 13 episodes of EGB, so I'll re-watch the ending of this episode some time this coming week and check it out. Mrmichaelt 07:54, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

"Administrative Rules"Edit

Please go down to Voting on Matters and vote on this. I set the edit count to 20 as you do more than that a month here. I think we have to officially retire some admins here, and make it clear who all are in charge. There are really only 3 of us here anyways.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  06:07, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Some people can be very busy and have no time to edit stuff. Of course, I make at least one edit every day, so I should just barely be avoiding being on the verge of retirement. And I will continue contributing to this wiki as long as I live.
The reason I've only seldomly made more than one edit a day lately is I am trying to earn more badges. I have to rework through the days to get back where I was because my editing pattern was briefly halted for two weeks during the summer, where I was at a relative's house in Louisiana and there were no computers available.
Now I am not sure if I should keep staying true to the badge system. It is fun, but I just can't let it limit the number of edits I make per day.
PS: Have a nice holiday, my everchanging friend. SonofSamhain 08:11, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
The rule would be used only when a user has left for awhile and is not editing. Currently 4 admins are listed at this wiki because we can not official say the one is done here, and they are maybe editing 5 edits a month. Time to make rules so we can officially have a reason not to count previous admins.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  06:08, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
Same Rule up still. Please vote on it. No, this rule was not made to attack even semi-active users, it is aimed at straight dead admins. We keep acting like there are 4 of us, when really there is three at this time.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  03:23, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Infobox Editing Suggestion Edit

I've noticed you've been putting a second job in the 'occupation' part of article's info boxes such as with the Particle Thrower today. Spoiler Policy "Video Games-Mobile Games"Edit

I have proposed changing the Spoiler Policy to have Mobile games treated differently from Console games. Changing the spoiler wait to 1 month for mobile video games. Please go to the Spoiler talk page and share views. Ghostbusters Wiki talk:Spoiler Policy  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  05:26, January 17, 2013 (UTC)

Ian!, long time no see, it's me, Larry1996, sorry we hadn't kept in contact in a while, but, I have some terrible news, Harold Ramis just passed away today, from a rare blood vessel disease today

For what its worthEdit

"Odd how nobody has revised my colloquial error here." .. I honestly just watch the new people and IP's. Yeah we all make mistakes, and even looking over what you changed, it didn't hurt the article that much. Improvement is the key to editing at wiki's and live and let live.. you know. Also, dude that was back in July 2010‎ you made the edit to a new article. I don't have the heart to say anything rude about it.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  16:29, March 3, 2014 (UTC)
