Vehicle Action Figure Toys 5 Vehicles (Part of Kenners The Real Ghostbusters Toy Line), is the possible two vehicles that would have been based on the Ecto-Glow Line and Slimed Heroes Line. While they never saw production, the Glow Copter does appear on the back of the card for the Ecto-Glow line Heroes.

This includes the following two vehicles: Glow Copter and Fire Frighter.

Toy DescriptionsEdit

Fire FrighterEdit

The Fire Frighter vehicle was one of the last items Kenner had planned to release in 1992. Much like the Ecto Glow Copter, the Fire Frighter was in part a reused unreleased vehicle mold from the Police Academy line (with the addition of the ghost trap feature on the back). That item was known as the Jail Jalopy vehicle and was one of the items Kenner had planned to release just before the Police Academy line was cancelled in late 1990. Although a Slimed Heroes Ray Stantz is pictured with the vehicle, it is likely that the Backpack Heroes line would have been the tie in line with regard to their proposed corresponding release dates. Unfortunately, no other internal Kenner photography or packaging materials are known to exist for shedding more light on this vehicle. To date, only one example of this prototype is known to exist. The Fire Frighter would have made a great addition to the line since a fire truck vehicle would compliment the fire house playset. It's worth noting that the Real Ghostbusters eventually used a modified fire truck in the Extreme Ghostbusters episode Back in the Saddle.

  • Grabber Claw with Crane Arm
  • Portable containment unit (small side lever operates the trap feature doors - similar to the Ghost Trap toy)
  • Seats any two Real Ghostbusters Action Figures
  • Figures and ghost sold separately

Glow CopterEdit

The Ecto Glow Copter was a tie-in vehicle to the Ecto-Glow Line and was the closest item to being released than any of the other unproduced items Kenner had planned for late 1991. The vehicle was simply a reused mold of the Police Academy Crime Mulcher vehicle, which also went unproduced when that line was canceled in late 1990. The Ecto-Glow Copter is seen promoted with the Peter Ecto-Glow figure for packaging photography and packaging art. Rumor has it that a small number of these items were shipped to stores before the line was officially cancelled, but these rumors remain unconfirmed.

  • Glow in the dark feature
  • Includes Stun Bomb (noted detachable stun bomb which can be dropped on unsuspecting ghosts!)
  • Figures and ghost sold separately
