The Venetian Shop Ghost is the ghost of an Italian woman in Venice.
Peter Venkman went shopping in Venice before the Ghostbusters were dispatched to Poveglia in a few hours. He stopped at a mask shop and tried one on. A ghost manifested and told Peter "Devi Andare!" (or "You must go!") then threw him out the window into the river. Peter was helped out by a gondola steersman. Peter recounted the incident to Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore back at the hotel. Winston jokingly asked Peter if he was hitting on it. Ray clarified he told Peter most of the ghosts in the city were benign, not all. In Paris, Peter remained bothered they didn't go back and trap the ghost.
