A Wishgiver is a type of demon that lures victims in with their heart's desire and drains them of their life force. One such entity existed at the bottom of an old man made well, based on the collection of coins in it, in Long Island, New York. The land that the well exists on appears to have passed through various owners, all likely victims of the Wishgiver. Eventually, the well was covered up and a tool shed was built over it. In 1997, the property was purchased by a tax accountant named Leonard Bates. Bates searched the shed and found the well. He tossed in a coin and wished for a wife. The Wishgiver accepted the coin and created a Ghost Bride.
The Extreme Ghostbusters eventually arrived at the well and confronted the Wishgiver. It rose from the well in a rage, from having its feast interrupted no doubt. While Eduardo Rivera fired directly on the entity, the other three fired on the well. The resulting explosion appears to have dispersed the Wishgiver.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
The creature was able to recreate its wishers' desires in a twisted way much like Duophanes. During the episode, it spawned the Ghost Bride ghost that eventually led the team to the Wishgiver.
After consulting his database on psychokinetic turbulence in the area Leonard Bate's home was located, Egon identified the head ghost as a Class 4 Psycho-Reactive Specter. It appears to be anchored to the well and cannot stray from it.
